Chapter 35
"So, you're planning it today?" Zac asked as I nodded.
"Yeah, the house was finished last month anyway." I said as he nodded.
"Well, congratulations. I hope for the best." He tapped my shoulder as I smiled.
"Thanks, dude. I literally appreciate everything that you have done for me." I said as he scoffed.
"That was nothing, asshole. Besides I made a promise." He said as I rolled my eyes.
"Well, I'm glad you both worked out in the end." Triveon commented as I laughed.
"I mean despite Zac's scoldings that you ignored, it was worth it, I guess?" Jax wiggled his eyebrows as Zac frowned.
"Well, what about you? When is it your turn?" Zac asked as Jax pouted.
"We're still in the middle of recovering some things. She's still processing." He said as I smiled.
"It'll work out, Jax." I said as he gave me a sad smile.
"I hope so." He said.
"May pupuntahan tayo." I grinned at Aydien as she frowned.
"Liam, you know I'm not that fan of surprises kaya sabihin mo na ngayon kung saan iyan." She said as I frowned.
"But, it's supposed to be a surprise." I pouted.
"Tataguan na ba kita ng anak?" She asked as I sighed.
"You see, this is the effect of you reading too much of those romance thingy stuffs." I scrunched my nose as she raised a brow.
"Talaga ba, Liam?" She sarcastically said as I pursed my lips.
"Joke lang, syempre." Agad na bawi ko. "We're just going to visit a house." Sabi ko at tumango siya.
"Okay." She said and sat down on the passenger seat of the car.
I don't know why and I don't know how but instead of being emotional when pregnant, she's had more attitude. I'm actually sincerely worried that our baby will have that much attitude that will get her or him in trouble.
"Diba eto yung......" She trailed as I grinned and nodded.
"Ginusto ng client mo?" She asked as I laughed.
"I'm more than satisfied with your work Engineer Rodriguez." I said grinning as she looked at me in shock.
"This is yours?" She asked as I nodded. Well, technically, it's ours.
"Pero sabi mo dapat magustuhan ng soon-to-be wife niya." She had her brows furrowed.
"Well, that'll be true if you answer my question right." Kako at mas lalong kumunot ang noo niya.
"What question?" She asked as I kneeled down on one knee and brought out the velvet box from my pocket.
"Will you marry me, Elle?" I asked, my heart beating so loud with all the negative thoughts running through my mind.
"What if I say no?" She asked as my heart beat fastened even more.
"Then I guess, ipapagiba ko nalang 'tong bahay." I smirked as her eyes widened.
"Gago?" Pagmumura niya sa akin at tumango ako.
"I'm not kidding but just to inform you, it cost me almost ten million pesos to build the house and another fifteen for the interior. Also ten million dollars for the engagement ring I am holding right now." I smiled. Doesn't matter if I look like I'm blackmailing her but I'm fucking desperate to marry her any time soon.
"Are you blackmailing me?" She asked as I grinned.
"Is it working?" I fired back as she laughed and grinned.
"Yes, Jaze. I will marry you." She said and it sounded like music to my ears.
I stood up and and put the ring on her ring finger. It perfectly fits and I'm so fucking glad.
"I can't wait to call you my Engineer Zevilye." I kissed her forehead as she laughed.
"Edi dalawa na ang Engineer Zevilye niyan." She joked as I laughed.
"No cake testing for you." I said as she frowned.
"Why?" She whined as I sighed.
"Elle, you're still pregnant. Your taste is weird and definitely when we get wedded you won't like the flavor anymore." I explained as she rolled her eyes.
"Edi wag." Umirap siya at nakangusong tinignan ang mga menu para sa catering service.
"Buttered shrimp?" She asked as I nodded and signalled Freya to write it down.
"Freya, tell the catering service to peel the shrimps." I told Freya as she nodded.
"How about red velvet for the cake, hm, baby?" I asked Elle as she pouted.
"How about caramel?" She asked kaya napangiwi ako.
"You hate sweets." I pointed out but she pouted.
"Pero gusto ko naman ngayon." She insisted as I sighed.
"I'll buy you a caramel cake later so we'll go with red velvet and carrot cake, okay?" Tanong ko at napilitan naman siyang tumango.
After Elle picked out some more food for the catering we decided to go to the designs and motifs of the wedding.
"Uh, I don't know, blue?" I asked as she tilted her head.
"How about lavender?" She asked as I frowned.
"Is it really what you want?" I asked as she nodded.
"I mean it's your favorite flower so I just thought of it. So, yeah, I want lavender." She smiled brightly as I kissed her forehead.
Oh, how much I love this woman.
"Sure." I said as Freya smiled.
"I'll send the planner here tomorrow and she'll be showing you the flowers and some of the dresses from the boutique you guys said you want to get from." Freya informed before leaving our house.
"I feel stressed." She sighed and my eyes softened.
"Why?" I asked softly.
"Well, it's just a little overwhelming. The wedding planning, the day of the labor and such." She sighed as I smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Do you need something? Like a rest or stuff. Pwede naman na ako nalang ang bahala sa wedding planning. You can just focus your mind to our baby and yourself." I said caressing her hair but she shaked her head, refusing.
"It's overwhelming but at the same time, I am happy, Jaze. I'm so happy, so happy that it may be overwhelming but, I won't let you plan this all alone." She smiled.
"We will get wed together so we should also plan it together. We're in everything together, now. I promised that right?" She held my hand as my eyes almost watered.
"Right." I smiled and dropped a soft kiss on her lips.
"I love you so much, Elle."
"And I love you as much, Jaze."
