Pov: Audrey

As I walked up to my front door along with David I couldn't help feeling anxious. I just couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad was going to happen.

I rang the doorbell and eventually, my mom came out with Brian. He was looking as handsome as ever. He looked at me and gave me a beautiful smile. However, as he lay his eyes on my companion it faded. He suddenly became cold and distant. You could feel the evergrowing tension between us. I felt uncomfortable so to break it I spoke out:

"Hi Bri. I'm so sorry we're late. David invited me for a walk and I accepted. We got caught up and I just kind of lost track of time"

Brian now looked at me and gave me what seemed to be an understanding look. "No worries. I'm just glad you made it".

But I knew he was sad. He wasn't fooling me. I knew something was up. Maybe he was upset because I had brought David along.
