Bella let out a deep breath as she did another sit-up. Her movements alternating with Carl as he did push-ups in the only patch of live grass in the girls backyard. When one of their bodies went down, the other would go up. Small sounds of heavy breathing and Carl's occasional counting to keep him on track. The boy would sneak a glance every now and then, in the hopes that Bella was maybe doing the same and admiring his figure. Meanwhile, she was fighting every impulse to stare. The second he loudly announced how hot he was, taking off his shirt to reveal his glistening body-she knew what he was trying to do. And he may look great, it was a sight to behold, made her feel weak in the knees. But she is trying to be strong and refuses to let him know how bad he gets to her.

She does feel lucky though that her backyard has a hot sweaty guy doing push-ups in it. She wishes she could take a picture to commemorate it.

Finally the burn in her core is too strong. She collapses back into her yoga mat, panting as she ignores how gross and sticky she feels. "Oh fuck" She sighs, knowing she's going to be sore tomorrow. "I'm done"

Carl shakes his head and continues his work out and finally she can do nothing but watch. Her eyes trailing down to his basketball shorts that are practically begging to be ripped off. Smiling at the sight of his exposed v-line, he speaks. "You like what you see?" His cocky smirk convinces her to wipe that dumb smile off her face.

"Sure I do" She answers simply. No point in lying when she was just caught staring. "Who wouldn't?"

Soon enough the young man is on his feet, beginning to stretch out his legs, seeing as it is time for his daily run. Continuing to watch shamelessly Bella switches the subject. "I think I made a new friend yesterday" At Carol's salon she just happened to perm a nice old lady's hair. The woman had her granddaughter with her (who was Bella's age) and the two ended up chatting for the rest of the appointment, exchanging social medias and phone numbers.

"Girl or guy?"

She rolls her eyes. Of course that's the only thing he cares about. "Girl...I need a girl friend. One I can talk about guys with and actually has the same interests as me"

"That's hot" He says and she rolls her eyes again. He clearly isn't even listening as he does a deep lunge, his head facing the chain-link fence instead of his friend.

"See this is exactly what I mean" The girl groans as she gets up. Rolling up her yoga mat, she continues. "Girls actually listen and give a shit about all the things guys don't!"

"Well sorry I'm not a good enough friend for you" The boy fakes a pout. Sure, he is jealous at the thought of Bella having a new friend-the thought that he may have to compete for her attention swirling his head. But it will also be good for her. She deserves to be happy he thinks and if her first female friend (that wasn't Debbie) makes her happy then so be it. As long as it's not a guy, Carl will be happy too.

"Oh don't worry mi guerito" She teases, speaking sweetly as she caresses his sweaty face. "You'll always be number one"

He smiles, nudging himself into the soft skin of her hand. Relaxing as her acrylic nails scratch the back of his head. "Now I gotta go get ready!" She announces, bouncing up the steps of her back porch.

"Ready for what?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Im going to a party!"

"Im going to a party!"
