PAIN CHANGES THE WAY SOMEONE thinks and feels. It changes who they are as a person, and there's no stopping it. You either choose to shut down, or thrive off this pain, and in Amayah Alvarez's case, she shut down.

One full month passed. Amayah got her surgery and the infection was gone. Yet, she was back to day one. The pain was unbearable just like it's always been, and she had to restart physical therapy.

But in the case of Amayah and Max...nothing changed. Amayah shut down like she always did, and they went right back to fighting. She refused to talk about anything with him other then their agreement, she especially refused to talk about what happen that night after the Spanish GP...and the morning of when she cried into his arms for a least two hours.

Max has won the last two races in Austria and the United Kingdom, and the next race would be in Hungary...where he was the favorite to win that one as well.

The Redbull management team has backed off of Max for right now. He's winning and his relationship with Amayah looks great on the media, even if it's nothing behind doors. They were going out on fake dates all the time, and the media was eating it up.

And lastly, Charles and Amayah are officially not on speaking terms. He was so upset after Anayah told him to leave her hospital room that he's stopped talking, texting, and calling Amayah.

"Do you have practice today?" Max asks, pouring himself a cup of coffee. No response. Amayah just sat at the small kitchen table, eating her breakfast in silence. "Alvarez?"

"Yes." she huffed out, taking the last bite out of her yogurt and throwing it away.

"And when will your competitions start back up?" Max found it almost amusing how upset she would get up at his simple questions, so he kept doing it just to piss her off. In a way, having Amayah grumbled something at him was better then nothing at all. "I'm not doing anything today, maybe I'll come with you—"

"No."

A small smirk grew on his face at the sound of annoyance in her voice. "No?" max questions, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Just leave me alone, Max." she groaned.

"At least answer my question about your competitions."

Amayah opened up the door of the fridge, reaching for a bottle of water. "I have a competition tomorrow." she answered, but Max already knew that...he was just didn't want her to now that.

After Amayahs surgery, news got out that the figure skater had undergone another surgery, which would set her back in competitions. So after she recovered, Amayah decided to stop attending the formula one races for a while, hoping the media would stay off her back. She only agreed to go on those fake dates with Max to make their relationship look real...other then that, Amayah wanted nothing to do with the media.

Her career was slipping through her fingers, and there was no way in hell Amayah would allow the media and all those news storys distract her.

"Will Luca be there?"

The brunette sat back down at the kitchen table, resting her right leg on another chair so she could take the brace off and clean the stitches from the last surgery. "He is my partner, so yes."

Luca Sinclair was Amayahs skating partner for for about two years, they started skating together right after she ended things with Max. The two of them did very well in almost all their competitions, but after Amayahs accident, she refused to skate with him.

She had no trust for anyone on the ice, just herself. But after Diego found out that Amayah needed surgery again, he did some digging and found out that if Amayah performed in singles and pairs, all points would be combined, meaning Amayah wouldn't have to worry as much about making a mistake...
