AZIEL POV

Island hopping is one of the common activity that everyone has on their bucket list. With that being said, we need to tighten the security sa pantalan. Checking of baggages should be execute without any delays. Check points should be implemented tightly. Not because they are foreigner, lalamangan na natin sila. Yes, they might have lots of money in their pocket, pero pera lang yan. What we want to gain is their trust. We should give them a good memories and a reason to comeback again and again here." Mahabang litanya ni Chief Mendoza.

We are in a brief meeting now dahil kailangan mas lalong higpitan ang security ng lugar. May mga hotels na fully book na din and they are now planning of some gimmick to accommodate everyone that want to stay in their hotel.

"I already talk to all of your team leaders. I want an honest service. Maging maayos na pulis kayong lahat. Give the tourist an impression na hindi lahat ng pulis sa ating bansa ay pare-parehas. Use your position to serve with integrity. Understand?"

"YES CHIEF." Sabay-sabay na sagot naming lahat.

"Glad to here it and I will more happy if I will see it in action. Yun lang, dismiss."

Agad na sumunod ang lahat. I was about to exit the room when chief called me.

"I'm proud of you."

I tilted my head to the left while looking at him confusedly. He is proud of what? My job? I don't have plan of doing great sa trabaho ko. I don't want eyes and attention on me.

"I am proud that you didn't kill him."

"Yes." Mahina nyang sagot but enough for me to hear. "I can see in your eyes how big your hatred is. And I can see the killing intent in yours. At proud ako that you use your head instead of your emotion. I know your parents are proud of you also."

"Hindi nya deserve mamatay agad. With everything he did not only to me but to the entire Buena Suerte, he deserve to suffer that to die."

"I agree. Sa dami ng kasalanan nya, death is an easy escape."

Tumango nalang ako.

"Who's the next, Aziel?"

Seryoso akong napatingin kay Chief Mendoza. He is also looking at me seriously.

"Former Governor Celso Dominguez."

"The angel without wings." Tinalikuran ako ni chief. He look outside the window at nagpakawala ng isang malalim na buntong-hininga. "Good luck Aziel."
