Chapter 13

Hindi ko alam kung ilang buntong-hininga na ang aking pinakawalan. All I know is, umaga na at wala pa akong tulog. Hindi ako makatulog, salamat kay Rohs.

Matapos naming mag usap ni Rohs kagabi ay hindi na sya nakisabay na kumain sa mga kaibigan nya. Sabi nya ay may importante syang gagawin pero nagawa nyang  maihatid ako pauwi. Si Jace na ang naghatid kay Nico na hindi naman din tinanggihan nang huli dahil may pag uusapan daw sila. Hindi naman na kami nag usap ni Rohs on the way pauwi and he immediately left pakahatid nya sa akin.

My head is in mess right now. Celso Dominguez is moving in fast pace and I need to stop it. Sinabi ko na kay Nico ang plano ko and I am waiting for her message tungkol sa pag uusap nila ni Jace. I also need to contact Chessman for some help but here I am, still in the bed, looking at the ceiling. Ayaw din kumilos ng katawan ko. It was like my brain gave to my body not to move at all.

But the question here is, why I am thinking of what happened last night? Ang sabi ko ay wala akong paki kung ano ang trip ni Rohs. If he want to court me, bahala sya. I already gave him my answer. Pwede ko naman syang pagtaguan. One day a week of entertaining him is okay. I can handle it. Or I can totally ignore him. Mamimili nalang ako kung anong gagawin ko. So, wala akong dapat pang isipin diba?

Am I in denial? Imposible. I already make peace with my heart a long time ago. Hindi sya pwede magmahal ng kahit sino. I don't deserve it. Lalo na ngayon. It's imposible that my heart betrayed me. Maayos ang usapan namin.

TING!

I lazy grab my phone that was under the pillow to check who message early in the morning.
Unfortunately it's Rohs. Ang aga naman nitong nagising, o natulog ba ito?

'Good morning.'

Pagak akong natawa. Kung gaano sya katipid magsalita sa ibang tao, ganun din sya katipid mag send ng message.

I didn't bother na replayan pa sya. I force myself to step down the bed and open my laptop and send a message to Chessman asking him all the information he has.

'Are you okay?'

Napataas kilay ako sa tanong ni Chessman.

'Oo naman. Bakit?'

'Check by yourself.'

He sent a screenshot of my message to him. Napapikit nalang ako. I call him Rohs instead of Chessman. Anak ng tinapa!

'Sorry.'

'You're in love.'

'I'm not.'

'Yes you are. If not, why you're thoughts are occupied by this person.'

Naikonek nya yun ng ganun kabilis?

'Something happened.'

'Something happened to your heart.'

'No.'

'Yes. Period.'

'How can you judge me by my mistake?'

'Because this never happened. You are also occupied way back with all the cases your department handling, but you never use the suspect name to me nor name of your co-worker. This is the first time.'

Kasalanan mo ito Rohs.

'Mind your own business, Chessman.'

'Hahahaha. Your wish is my command, my prince.'

I let out a deep sigh. This is not good. Bakit ba kasi ako nag papa apekto. As I said, I can ignore him. And if I will fall to someone, someday, I want it to happen to Chessman. Kung lalaki man sya tulad ko, ayos lang. Mas gugustuhin ko pang sya ang maging first relationship ko kesa kay Rohs.
