AUTHORS NOTE (actually important)

hi guys! maesie here!! there's a lot for me to say so be patient

this is a little cringe as well so please bear with me haha

first, i want to thank everyone who's read my little drabbles and supported me, inspiring me to continue writing!

at first i published my first story on here and ao3 just to simply publish my works. i wasn't looking for any support per se, but rather an outlet to put up something i was proud of and worked hard on.

truth be told, i was actually expecting a LOT of hate, considering my past experiences with writing for a specified 'fandom'

but i got the complete opposite of that!! i was welcomed with open arms and encouraging voices, which was really nice.

and it pushed me to make more, that's where i found myself burnt out

i felt like i had an audience to prove myself to, which is entirely on me and my people pleasing tendencies

see, this might not sound like much of an issue, considering i haven't got much published, but combined with all my other work that i had piling up endlessly, rushing to meet deadlines and multi-page essays, i just felt really overwhelmed

so that's where i started to slow down with my uploads

i had no motivation, only worry. it was no longer fun for me

jeez i'm cringing just writing this but i hope it doesn't sound as bad to you guys as it does to me

anyways, i really enjoyed my time here!! and although this isn't a goodbye and maybe in the future i'm bound to return, i just wanted to let you guys know so you don't expect any frequent uploads.

also all the authors out there of which i've talked to, i love you all!!! keep crushing it out there and idk like keep writing and don't be afraid to take breaks!! you guys are awesome and amazing authors, you really know how to use your words. for now, i'll still be cheering you on from the sidelines

and as for the friends i've made, i'll try my best to keep in contact with you guys! although life may be hectic at times i will still try to prioritize my friends

and for those who want to write, honestly, i'd tell you to just give it a shot and don't be afraid to ask for help or feedback

my messages will stay open for anyone who wants to contact me, i'll be happy to reply (however not immediately haha) whether it's for writing advice or whatnot, i'll be happy to talk to you!!

and again, seeing this as a 'see you later,' i'll probably have some works brewed, so, i dunno, stay tuned

and with the works i've made here, it'd be nice to see you guys branch off from these ideas and write about them!!! just be sure to credit me so i'll see it
