Out of touch [REMASTERED]

The Final Battle part 1

Everyone was getting ready for the final battle while Gene was getting ready to leave for Technopolis. Alex came to him

"Are you sure this will work?"

"Yes. Its easy ,I'll follow you with the drone and you just have to keep your communicator with you so i can reach you somehow"  Gene explained handing him the communicator. Alex took it and looked around.

"Take Alien with you"

"Hm?"

"Take Alien with you, you won't be alone and he'll be safe too, we can't risk loosing him in the battle."

Gene agreed and called for Alien who didn't think twice before jumping in Gene's arms.

"How are you feeling?"

"Better,to say the least. Please take care Alex.." He said as he gave the knight a kiss before setting course to Technopolis with Alien

Once he was there he went straight to his lab and basically locked himself in there.

He went to the computer in the main room and connected the drone. He was waiting, time ticking slowly. At one point Gene just drove his mind far away from what was currently happening. He was thinking, not like he isn't always thinking but something about Flavio coming back, his imprisonment in the book. He's thinking what does Flavio want. Does he really try to redeem himself? Gene finds it hard to believe Flavio would do something good in life. But...he can't help but to remember what a sweet child Flavio was. He was waiting for Alex's call and while he did so he decided to scatter around the laboratory he once called home, dust everywhere,sign of a place that wasn't taken care of. Just like his mind, a mess. He remembered everything, and it will haunt him. This was the place where it all began. The plan, the jealousy, the betrayal all happened here. He went into his room, just like the way he left it when he went away. The computer that contained everything they needed to lock him into Confinement. Gene decided to log in, Alien soon joined him. He sat in front of the keyboard and watched the bright screen that was now a very familiar sign when staying with Gene. Gene looked into his files, the plan written up, the Chameleons blue prints he saved in there...pictures of Flavio..he remembers how Flavio used the web cam to take pictures of himself because his computer was shit in quality

" FLAVIO I HOPE YOU'RE NOT TAKING PICTURES OF YOURSELF ON MY COMPUTER AGAIN!"

"AND WHAT IF I DO? WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?"

Gene bolted into the room. Of course the two were joking like they always do

"Flavio."

"Gene."

Silence between the two

"You look awful"

"That was the vibe i was going for darling "

Gene chuckled

"You went for the depressed vibe?" He laughed

"Excuse you! That's your vibe!"

"No it's not!"

"Liar!"

Flavio was right, his vibe was indeed depressed, not only his vibe but him himself is depressed

Gene snapped out of it when he heard Alien growl at the picture

"Whoa, there there little guy, you can bite him later" Gene said shutting down the computer. He left the room and went back into the main room and looked at the setting. Everyone was getting ready soon to set course to Erembour's castle. Gene noticed Alex and Flavio talking, since they were far away from the drone Gene couldn't pick up what they were saying. He thought he was overthinking it and shouldn't worry. At least they aren't at each others throat. He sat down and watched Alien play with his orange ears.

Twinkle noticed the drone and gently tapped on it to see if Gene can hear

"What is it Twinkle?" He said

"I wanted to see if you're ok" she said back

"Im ok, how about you?"

"Im bored..hey Gene"

"Hm?"

"After this fight, will you take me to see the Aurora borealis?"

"You want me to take you to the north?" He asked

"Yup! If you can of course"

"Well i don't see why not..sure thing Twinkle..but..what came over you to ask me that?"

"We don't spend a lot of time together and honestly this whole thing made me miss you so much! So i thought we can go together to watch the borealis"

Gene sat in silence a bit, he sighed

"Sure Twinkle... we'll go"
