Riding Lesson 4/1/24

yeah so i forgot to write this... again...

I didn't have a lesson Wednesday, so I'm actually only behind by ONE lesson, not TWO. HA. Not like it makes a difference-

ANYWAYS

I rode the Rezpony.

He was pretty good... we just kinda did some more twenty-meter circles work, but this time at a canter and at a different part of the arena, since parts of the dressage arena were still set up.

The irritating thing, though, is that there was somebody riding with me AGAIN. Where I ride, a private lesson costs more than a group one, yet my past two private lessons have had another person in them. Seriously, it's getting annoying. And, thinking of my parents, the extra money for a non-private lesson is kinda wasteful at that point-

I mean, I was totally fine with it the first time, since it was a one-time thing, and it let my instructor be at the barn for one less hour, since the other girl was out of school that day and such. Fine. That's okay. I'll live. But again? It's just irritating now, since I'm trying to use my extra riding/learning time, and when there's someone else in my private lesson (aka when I learn the most stuff, since I'm the only one riding), that doesn't really happen. Now, obviously I still love having my group lessons, but I'd prefer it if my private lessons stayed, well, private.

So... yeah. Another annoying thing is that I didn't even get an explanation this time. The other girl was just there, and my instructor didn't even tell me or anything. So. Yeah. That's life. I won't be having a lesson on Monday because it'll be the solar eclipse and my family and I are driving down to totality and all, and the timing intervenes with my lesson and blah blah blah. Kinda sad, but it's gonna be a while before the solar eclipse crosses the USA, I think, so it's worth it to miss one lesson. Though I kinda wish that I could do what my instructor was talking about; just going to the barn and watching it with the horses. That would be great. But. Anyways. Maybe next time or whatever.
