The room was shrouded in darkness as Sirius quietly approached James's bed, his footsteps muffled by the thick carpeting.

He could see James lying there, his form outlined by the faint moonlight streaming in through the window.

"You awake, mate?" Sirius asked, his voice breaking the silence of the room.

James turned to face Sirius, his heart pounding in his chest.

"Yeah," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

Sirius frowned, his brow furrowing with concern.

"You sure you're alright, James?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry.

James hesitated for a moment before nodding.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he lied, trying to keep up the facade that everything was okay.

But Sirius wasn't convinced. He could see the fear in James's eyes, the way his hands trembled ever so slightly. He knew something was wrong, and he wasn't about to let James off the hook that easily.

"Bloody hell, James," Sirius said, his frustration evident in his voice. "Stop lying to me. I know something's going on."

James's heart skipped a beat, his stomach churning with apprehension. He had hoped to keep his feelings for Regulus a secret, especially from Sirius, but it seemed that his friend had already figured it out.

Taking a deep breath, James met Sirius's gaze, his eyes filled with a mixture of fear and uncertainty.

"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely audible over the pounding of his own heart.

Sirius sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"I mean... I know about you and Regulus," he admitted, his voice tinged with sadness.

James felt a surge of panic wash over him, his mind racing with a million thoughts and fears. He had never intended for anyone to find out about his complicated relationship (besides Peter and Remus) with Regulus, especially not Sirius.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about," James stammered, his voice trembling with uncertainty.

But Sirius just shook his head, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips.

"Come on, mate. You can't fool me," he said, his tone gentle yet teasing. "I've known you too long."

And with that, the floodgates opened, and James found himself pouring out his heart to Sirius, confessing everything about his feelings for Regulus and the turmoil it had caused him.

As they talked long into the night, James felt a weight lift off his shoulders.

And in that moment, he realized that he didn't have to face his struggles alone. As long as he had Sirius by his side, he knew that everything would be okay.

Sirius listened intently, his expression softening as he took in James's words.

He was hurt that his friends hadn't confided in him sooner, but he understood why they had kept it a secret. Especially since it was his own brother. And deep down, he was grateful that James had finally opened up to him, trusting him with such a sensitive matter.

"James," Sirius said softly, his voice filled with warmth. "I'm not mad, alright? I'm just... I wish you guys had told me sooner. And... It's like, Regulus so..." Sirius said, trailing off.

James nodded, a sense of relief washing over him.

"I'm sorry, Sirius," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to keep it from you. It's just... complicated."

But Sirius just smiled, reaching out to squeeze James's shoulder reassuringly.

"I know, mate," he said. "But hey, at least now we can talk about it, yeah? You don't have to go through this alone."

And as they settled back into their beds, the weight of their secrets lifted from their shoulders, James and Sirius knew that their friendship was stronger than ever. And no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together.

But as Sirius began to drift off to sleep, a mischievous glint quickly appeared in his eyes.

"Hey, James," he said, a teasing tone in his voice. "Now that you've had a taste of the whole... gay thing, maybe we can swap stories sometime?"

James blushed furiously, a startled laugh escaping his lips.

"Mate, we literally broke up," he protested, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. But Sirius just laughed, nudging James playfully.

"Well, you must've done something with my baby brother, right?" he joked, raising an eyebrow.

James rolled his eyes, swatting at Sirius's arm in mock annoyance.

"Shut up, Sirius," he said.

"Fine. I was just joking, too! Please don't tell me what you've done to poor baby Regulus."

"Merlin Sirius, that sounds so weird!" James exclaimed.

After a few seconds of chuckling, James asked one more question.

"How do you do it? You and Remus... have you done anything more than..."

Sirius just grinned stupidly and squeezed James' elbow.

"Potter, please do not talk about fucking my brother to me."

"Obviosuly not!" James quickly defended, playfully hitting Sirius as he blushed more extremely.

But deep down, James actually wanted to punch Sirius harder.
