OK so in know not every school has to deal with this but my school does and I know most of my friends read this so this will tell you how to make the best out of a horrible situation.
So if you have a specific uniform then most likely, you have to wear a polo and jeans or Kakis. Its quite disgusting and you want to get out of it as soon as possible. But let's just say, I know what feels the best. A polo that fits comfortably and some jeans, not too skinny and that's what feels comfortable.
Next to accessories. Zip up jackets work best. You can also do what I do. Every Wednesday, I wear a tie or bow tie in support of nerd day. You can also do what what my friend does on Wednesdays where she wears a button down shirt, and puts her hair up in a ponytail like a nerd might do. There are many creative ways to express your style and look through the uniform section of the student handbook and bend the rules, don't break them, and have fun with what you wear.
