Telepathy

Waking up the next day I'm met with light coming from the crack under my and Sophie's shared bathroom. Debating on weather or not if I go back to bed and not do peopling I mean school, or if I get up and ready for the day.

Deciding not to leave Sophie to deal with that Ritz cracker from yesterday, I slowly get up. I walk over to my closet and grab my clothes and quickly change. I'm in black jeans with small rips here and there, and my normal black and white tie dye sweatshirt, with my black heeled boots.

Seeing the light off in the bathroom I go over and brush my teeth and finish getting ready. Looking into the mirror I see that my eyes look like they're glowing softly, my normal blue eye has a soft blue glow, with my green eye glowing soft forest green. Even my brown hair looks really shiny and soft.

Weird. I've never woken up without my hair in a mess of knots before. I look like a model. I get taken out of my thoughts when someone knocks on the door. Going and opening it I see my mom with the thermometer again. "Morning sweetie, I want to take your temp before you finish getting ready incase you are to go back to bed." My mother says walking over. She checks with her hand first then using the thermometer. "Your fever is gone but I still would like for you to take it easy today. And if you start to feel sick again I want you to have the office call me." She then kisses the top of my head and walks out to go get ready herself.

I go to find Sophie and find that she's outside talking to some jogger. I walk over and see his hand is bleeding pretty bad. So like any normal person, I grabbed the small med kit my mom has me go everywhere with, and started to clean it. He flinches at first then looks at me and then his hand, really confused. I ignore the looks I'm getting from the guy and our neighbor, and continue to put some balm on his hand. I then bandage it up and guide his hands to make a small "basket" with his arms. I then grab the dog from my sister and set her in his hands.

The dog just looks at my and my sister before resting her head on his arm and falling asleep. "What?" The jogger said still very confused about what just went down. I look at Sophie and motion for her to talk. "She saw you bleeding and wanted to help. And thanks to her you don't have to worry about the dog running anymore." She said, understanding what I was meaning. How she understood is still unknown to us. It's like we always know what the other is thinking and how to help.

The jogger just nods his head "Yea.. Umm.. Thanks I think?" then walks away down the street.

"We should get going if we want to get breakfast on the way to school again. Especially if that Ritz guy is coming back today." I signed to Sophie as we walked back inside.

She starts laughing at something I said, I tilt my head and look at her. "His name is Fitz, not Ritz. But it was close so I can't really get after you especially when you have trouble remembering names" Sophie finally says after laughing for a few minutes. "Oh! Are you sure? I thought his name was Ritz Cracker?" I responded now with a smile of my own. You just can't see it due to the mask that covers half my face. "Yes I'm sure. And did you even hear anything of what he said yesterday?"

I swear sometimes it's like she purposely messes something up to make others smile.

I freeze looking at Sophie.

I didn't see her mouth moving for that last part, it was more of a thought. But that's impossible, I can't read minds like Sophie can, right?
