In Which He Tries A Suggestion
He made his to the café after his class. He figured that there was a chance that Liv had yet to reply his message but decided he should go either way since it was his only free time for the rest of the day. He quickly sent a text to his study group, asking if any of them wanted anything from the café. He did not watch where he was going and accidently bumped into a girl who was leaving.
"I'm so sorry," they both apologized. They had a laugh and both headed their separate ways. He went inside and she to somewhere else.
His phone buzzed with a list of drinks and food. Remembering to make his friends pay him back, he stood in line preparing to order and potentially picking up a notebook. He placed his order in, paid, and was handed his change with a blue notebook.
"You know," the barista said. "You just missed her."
He was wide eyed in shock; he promised he'll be back as he ran out and looked for someone on the street. When he did not see a head of red he headed back inside, disappointed. He went to the waiting area and opened the notebook to Liv's note.
Try the banana bread, you won't regret it!
Listening to Liv, Nickel asked the barista for a slice of banana bread and paid for it. He then returned to reading Liv's note.
My name is Olivia Marie Isabella Harving, you can see why I go by Liv now. Olivia Marie is a handful just like my pre-law work. So did you try the banana bread? Trust me, you won't regret it.
He was able to scribble down a few words just in time as the barista gave him his order, and he the notebook. He bid the barista good day and headed out to study for his finals.
