Chapter 10: Reunited Family

A week passed, and the Chunin Exams were now in play as everyone was doing their own thing before they would come together with their teams to take part in the Chunin Exams. Sakura was with Asami doing some shopping for their Mothers', but along the way, they came across a small argument between the Sand Siblings and the Konohamaru Corps. "Oh no... What did those three do this time!..." Sakura said as Asami seemed a bit worried that something would happen. "Let's stop them before something goes wrong," Asami said as Sakura nodded in agreement. They quickly went over to them just as Temari had Konohamaru by the collar of his shirt and was ready to punch him, but Sakura grabbed her fist. Everyone looked to see who it was. Temari was about to yell, but when she saw Sakura, Temari froze in place, just seeing a pretty girl with shoulder-length pink hair and beautiful green eyes, causing Temari to have a faded shade of pink on her cheeks. "Could you please let him go? I know he's a pain, but there's no need for violence." Sakura said as she pleaded with Temari to let go of Konohamaru, which she did let go of him, and her tone slightly changed. "Yeah, sure!..." Temari said her brothers noticed this sudden change but did not mind. Karura came up to her children. "Temari, Gaara, Kankuro... Have you three been misbehaving?." she said as she crossed her arms, looking at them. "We were just heading back, but those three rugrats decided to tell us that we don't belong here just because we're from Suna!." Temari explained that the Konohamaru Corps were a bit shaken, but Moegi Kazamatsuri looked at her teammates with fists on her hips. "I told you two we shouldn't cause trouble..." she said as Udon and Konohamaru pouted and crossed their arms. Moegi went up to the Sand Siblings as they looked down at her and were puzzled, then Moegi bowed to them. "Please accept our apologies, and we didn't mean to cause any harm or trouble," Moegi said as Sakura and Asami were proud that Moegi was taken responsibility. At the same time, Udon and Konohamaru just left while both muttering and grumbling under their breath. Moegi was surprised that they just left her after she stopped bowing and saw them leave, leaving her heartbroken, but suddenly Temari approached Moegi. Then she picked her up and placed Moegi on her shoulder, earning mixed reactions from everyone around them.

Moegi looked down from Temari's shoulder, blushing and confused. "You can hang with us for a while," Temari said as she offered Moegi to hang out with her family, which Moegi was guarded off guard, but she slowly smiled and nodded at her. "Thank you for your kind offer," Moegi said as Temari turned around to her family and Sakura and Asami. Then Karura spoke up, "That's very kind of you, Temari, now don't you and your brothers take too long, remember the exams start at noon, so don't forget now!." she said as her children nodded. Karura kissed her sons on their cheeks and then kissed Temari's forehead. Then Karura walked off to rejoin with Third Hokage to see about the exams while Sakura and Asami were shocked. "Wait... You're the famous Sand Siblings of Sunagakure!." Sakura started as the trio nodded at her. "And... And... That was Lady Kazegake..." she said as Sakura lost her words, causing Temari to giggle at her. "Yes, Lady Kazegake is our Mother!." Gaara said as Sakura was squealing with excitement. "I finally got to meet the Legendary Sand Siblings!..." she said as Asami got in front of Sakura and hugged her, trying to stop her from going near them, "C'mon Sakura, you can fan-girl to them later. We need to get home," she said while giggling that Sakura is showing a side that Asami didn't know. "Aww, but it's the Sand Siblings... I only wanna hug them, that's all!." Sakura said as Sakura was trying to plead with Asami, but Asami wasn't having any of it. "No, you can fan-girl during the exams. I don't want Aunt Konan mad at us," Asami said as she finally got through to Sakura. She pouted and crossed her arms. "Oh, fine!... You win," she said as Asami grabbed Sakura's hand and dragged her away from the siblings. Temari giggled at Sakura for being herself while her brothers were unfazed. "We better do our own thing. We'll meet back at the hotel," Gaara said as he walked off with his arms crossed. Temari and Kankuro were puzzled and then looked at each other. "I'm just going to go back to the hotel and sort out my puppets," he said as he walked the other way, leaving Temari with Moegi. "Well, it looks like it's just us," she started, then looked up at Moegi. "What's your name? I'm Temari," she said, introducing herself as Moegi looked down at Temari from her shoulder and softly smiled. "I'm Moegi... Moegi Kazamatsuri," she said as both girls smiled at each other.
