A/N: To apologize for my immense procrastination, I've decided to post three short stories I wrote a while ago.

"Ray, can I tell you something? I don't really have anyone to talk to about this..." Eddy said, avoiding eye contact as if he was about to tell him his biggest secret.

Ray raised his eyebrows, intrigued. He was always ready for new gossip. What could be a thing that Eddy preferred to tell him rather than Brett? And since he usually told Brett everything, it could only be about one thing, and Ray was ready.

"Go ahead," he said, trying to encourage him to confide in him.

Eddy bit his lip, as if hesitating, but finally sighed.

"I fell in love..."

"Finally!" Ray shouted, happy that his suspicions came true. "I've been waiting for you to realise it for ages!"

Eddy looked surprised and stressed at the same time.

"You knew?!"

"Bro, it's quite obvious..." Ray smiled gently. Now he had to just push him towards the confession and...

His friend became even more worried and ran his hands through his hair.

"For real?! Oh noooo, do you think Brett knows as well?!"

Ray thought about it for a moment. It was a possibility, but he also had to take Brett's disbelief in his intuition into account.

"Perhaps he's a little less dense than you, but I suspect he hasn't figured it out yet, so don't stress."

Eddy breathed a sigh of relief, but then he looked distressed again.

"I have no idea how to tell him... I'm afraid it will destroy our friendship."

Ray couldn't believe this day had finally come! He had been preparing for this for ages! He cleared his throat and straightened up.

"Listen, Eddy, you have a few options. You can do it casually, you know, after all, you always talk to each other this way, so there's no point in stressing yourself out. But! If you prefer, you might as well prepare yourself more, invite him for a romantic candlelight dinner and-"

Eddy frowned in confusion.

"'Romantic candlelight dinner'? What are you talking about?"

Ray froze for a moment. There was no way his friend was THAT innocent. He's definitely gone on some dates before, right? RIGHT?

He decided not to judge too hastily.

"Well, you know... If you want to confess your love to him, it would be good to-"

Eddy's eyes widened.

"'Confess love'?!" he exclaimed, and when Ray looked at him in surprise, he burst out laughing.

"Please tell me you're joking!" he choked out, almost crying with laughter, and when Ray shook his head slowly, Eddy kept laughing.

Ray was completely lost.

"So... you're not in love with Brett?"

"Oh... God...! In love with.... Ahahahaha!"

Ray mentally apologized to Brett and swore to him that he would get their ship sailing again.

"So... Who are you in love with?"

Eddy suddenly became serious and saddened. He avoided his gaze again.

"It's Violet..."

Oh, Ray had practically forgotten she existed, but it made sense now that Eddy didn't know how to tell Brett about it. And he wanted to tell him because they were friends and were always honest with each other.

Violet was Brett's new girlfriend, although Ray didn't believe for a moment that it was a lasting relationship, because from his perspective, Brett was obviously in love with Eddy, even if he didn't realize it yet. But... What was this? What was Eddy thinking about?

"Okay..." he began carefully. "Why do you think you're in love with her?"

Eddy scratched the back of his neck.

"It's just... a natural conclusion."

"A conclusion... based on what?" Ray didn't give up.

"Well, it's just that whenever I see Brett and her together, I get insanely jealous... I just don't like seeing them together, and every time Brett mentions her name, I feel annoyed."

Ray wanted to die.

Brett, I'm sorry. Your future boyfriend is an idiot.
