Authors Note: I owe all of you one huge apology with being so busy. I am so sorry, thank you for sticking it out and I hope we are still enjoying this silly little story. Every time I see the read count go up not only does my heart swell with love but also with guilt that I am not able to deliver updates as fast as I used to be. Thank you all for 58k reads, this milestone is one I truly never thought I would reach, let alone within a year of Limits being out. So truly, thank you all so much and I'd love to know how you all are doing! Happy summer friends, have a happy safe one and please remember to stay hydrated.

Seeing him work was torture, he would warm up his vocals and his voice would send a cascade of chills down my spine as I sat trying to focus on making sure Jamie and I had content for our podcast. Jamie has been forcing Nick to speak to me more, and even if our relationship is still rocky it was nice speaking to my brother a bit more. "Watching him sing isn't going to try fixing what you two had" Jamie said plopping down beside me on the bench, her coffee in hand as she opened her own laptop to begin her long list of emails of bands, she wanted to try booking an interview with at the next upcoming festival that was a few days away. She usually was pretty quick with booking these things but both of us have been so busy we both forgot.

"I see why fans call him a siren, him and that damn voice" I mumbled watching as he finished off his practice and grabbed himself a water, heart hurting when Quin came over to him handing him a stage towel to keep on the side.

Joker King were on stage, which meant the guys were next and you could feel the electricity buzzing between them. They always had such good shows when all of them were in good moods, and their crew as well. Feeling eyes on me, I looked up to see Quin smirking as she walked over to where Jamie and I sat. Flipping her sandy blonde over her shoulder, she looked right at me as she smiled softly. "Faith, Ray said he needed you side stage—it was an emergency of some sort" Jamie rose a brow in question at the statement, "I don't know, I am just the messenger" she shrugged before taking a seat as if acting Jamie's silent question warranted her a seat with us.

Closing down my laptop, Jamie looked at me, eyes slightly wide with surprise that I was actually going to go see what Ray needed. I learnt the hard way that I was still indeed his emergency contact, and last thing I needed was for him to pass out on stage because he had too much to drink before the show, just like every show. Their fans didn't seem to notice that the band was too high or drunk half the time, but the energy they gave out is what their fans wanted and I questioned them for it.
Walking towards the stage, I could feel the music vibrating through the floor as the band played, palms sweating as I climbed the steps to the side of the stage, peering over to see if Ray was indeed hurt or anything—he played his guitar, turning once Kayden pointed to the sight of me. Ray smiled as their song finished, grabbing the microphone from the stand as he cleared his throat, with all the alcohol he consumed his throat was most likely bound to feel dry at some point. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage my girlfriend—Faith!" the crowd cheered as my eyes widened.

His girlfriend.
Girlfriend.

He put me on blast like that, feeling my heart thunder beneath my ribs, I looked at him as he came over to the side of the stage yanking my hand into his and pulling me out onto the stage where the heat of the lights scolded my skin, and the cheers from the fans had my head spinning. "She is a bit shy, so please welcome her nicely" bile threatened to rise in my throat as he held me close, his lips smacking onto my own as he held me—shocked was an understatement, I didn't know what to do in the moment as he leaned into my ear a moment after, "smile for the camera's Fae" his voice felt like knives against my skin as he turned me to face the crowd.

Smiling like he wanted, he kissed my cheek before the band went into their next song, Kayden claiming was the song that got me into them, which never was a thing. Bolting off stage, I took a deep breath, hands on my knees as Noah emerged from the shadows with my brother beside him. Both of them looking stone faced, "congratulations Faith" Noah said before turning and heading to the side of the stage they would be entering from in just twenty minutes time.

Nick shook his head at me, "Nick-- please" holding up my hands, trying to think of something to say, anything. My mind was shutting down.

"You know, it took me forever to accept you and Noah even being together, and when I start accepting it you go and kiss another band guy, if I knew you were just going to sleep through bands I would have honestly never asked you to move in with me, Faith" the words hit their mark as I stood there stunned.

Once Joker Kings set was over, and Bad Omens played—I helped put stuff away once more, hearing the whispers about me from around the venue.
"She dated Noah, apparently she cheated on him" how a fan knew of this information made my skin crawl.

"Imagine having Noah Sebastian and being so desperate you need to act like a slut" another girl snickered as they walked past me, making sure I heard every word she said.

Tossing the final piece of equipment into the back of the storage, I turned to see Ray heading towards me smile on his face as he held a beer bottle. "Hi baby" he smiled kissing my cheek.

"What was that, that game" I wanted to scream at him, hit him, anything to make him feel the pain I was feeling.

Ray's eyes darkened, stepping into me as I backed against the trailer. "I am tired of you thinking you aren't mine. No one is ever going to touch you again, you had your fun but now you're back. And you're going to start by actually spending the night on my bus tonight" his voice was dark, the anger in it simmering.

"I rather be dead" his hand grabbed my wrist as I whimpered.

The pressure was enough for me to hiss as he yanked me closer to him, "I am done with these little games Faith, you're going to be good and listen to me like before, so tonight you're with me" the beer reeked on his breath.

Feeling that same scared girl I was over a year ago creeping out, I looked away first showing he had won as I nodded my head. There was nothing I could do, he would have his way one way or another. This was just going to make it so he didn't lash out on me more.
Going towards their bus, Jamie called out to me as she stood at the door of the Bad Omens one, looking her in the eyes, she must have sensed my stress as her own saddened at the sight of me. Looking away from my best friend, I climbed onto Joker Kings bus first as Ray followed, shutting the door behind us, shutting me into the next chapter of hell I had to endure.
