Jisung let out a small whine as he was shaken awake. Batting away the hand that was shaking him, Jisung rolled over onto his side to avoid the touch. He was nice and warm and comfy. He didn't need to be woken up.
"Yah." Minho hissed," Wake up."
"What do you want?" Jisung grumbled as he rolled back over and peeked his eyes open to see the silhouette of Minho looming over him.
"I want to practise. It's our last chance to use the wall before we head out tomorrow. We have no idea what the walls will be like in the Paris warm-up area."
As Jisung's eyes became used to the light he could see that Minho was dressed in his training gear, a harness already wrapped around his waist. A glance at the clock showed it was one in the morning. There definitely wouldn't be anyone else there. He could hear Changbin's snores from across the room.
"We aren't waking Changbin Hyung?" Jisung whispered as he pushed himself out of his bed and grabbed the clothes, he had worn the previous day. No point in wearing new clothes when everything was packed already.
"No, he never comes to late-night practices. He claims he needs his beauty sleep too much." Minho shrugged and grabbed his climbing bag and headed over to the door to wait for Jisung to shove on his clothes and grab his bits.
It took no time for the pair to head out the room, and out into the open evening to head over to the climbing gym. Minho had apparently messaged See-Yung that they were going to be training tonight, purely for safety reasons. Walking into the climbing gym Jisung could sometimes hardly believe he got to train there. The lead climbs reached so high, much higher than the fifteen metres they had to climb in comps. All the upside-down sections extend up on the ceiling. It took Jisung's breath away every time he walked in there. Especially now when it was only two of them, in the dead of night. Minho switched on a few lights to create a nice calm atmosphere, having all the main lights on would ruin the fun of sneaking out and having a session in the middle of the night.
"Which lead route do you wanna do?" Minho asked as he dumped a bucket of rope onto the mats and started to feed the rope through Jisung's harness and tie it off. Jisung gulped and quickly pulled Minho's hands off.
"I-I gotta do it myself. I don't trust others to tie it properly." Jisung stuttered out and avoided looking at the older climber. He hated having to awkwardly explain to people why he hated others doing it.
"Nah, that makes sense. That way you know it's only your fault if anything goes wrong, and you know if it's done correctly and the way you like it." Minho shrugged not thinking too much of it as he grabbed Jisung's chalk bag for him as the younger tied off the rope the three perfect loops at the end to ensure it was safe.
"Did you do this blue route that was set up? I never got a chance to do it." Minho pointed up to the climb that was a V8 climbing route that See-Yung had requested each climber complete at least once before they headed to Paris.
"I think I did some of the start? But I was ushered away for the kitting out, so I never got around to completing it. I remember it was very pinchy." Jisung grabbed the chalk bag and clipped it around his waist.
"Ahh lovely pinches of course See-Yung wants to torture us." Minho chuckled as he moved towards the climb, rope securely in his carabiner and Jisung chalked up his hands.
"Definitely don't time me then. I won't be getting up in the six minutes." Jisung blew off the access chalk and began the climb.
It was a decent enough climb with some pinches and under-clings that See-Yung had been drilling into all of them to practise so it wasn't as hard as he thought he could've been.
