Climbing Up to You - Minsung

Chapter 30

"Can't you tell me where we are going?" Jisung whined lightly as he clutched onto Minho's arm as they weaved between the group of tourists mingling about the streets of Paris.

It was sweltering hot, hotter than the last few days they had been in Paris. Both kitted out in some shorts, t-shirts and their lanyards hanging around their necks.

"We're almost there, at least that's what google says." Minho patted Jisung's hand lightly as he squinted from the sun beaming down on them, he had a cap on but it was doing little to help the shine.

The pair crossed over a busy road and Minho smiled brightly, "Here we are! Luxembourg Gardens!" he announced proudly as the pair walked in through the large tall gates surrounding a garden that stretched downwards towards a fountain as they began walking down the tree-lined path.

"Woah.. This is so nice hyung. How'd you find it?" Jisung grinned as he took in all the greenery and the statues that were littered around the place.

It was fairly busy, families sitting on the grass having picnics. Kids screaming and running around giggling happily. There were a few dogs being walked and joggers running around the area. The atmosphere was surprisingly calm despite all the buzz and activities going around.

"May have done a bit of research. I wanted somewhere a bit out of the way so not as busy as the parks by the Eiffel Tower." Minho explained as he squeezed Jisung's hand slightly and tugged the younger climber slightly closer so their shoulders brushed lightly.

"It's cute." Jisung hummed as Minho pulled them over to a small stand which was selling drinks, something much needed in the hot weather that they were melting in.

"What do you want?" Minho nudged Jisung shoulder as they both tried reading the mix of French and English writing.

"I'll just have water. I shouldn't be having too much caffeine before our training starts up." Jisung explained as he let Minho order in English. Jisung smiled fondly as Minho stumbled slightly over words but managed to pay quickly and took the two ice cold bottles.

"Thanks." Jisung sighed as he placed the cold bottle on the back of his neck as Minho giggled lightly.

"Should've gotten ice cream as well, but I think that would melt quite quickly." Minho laughed as he grabbed Jisung's free hand again and dragged him further towards the fountain. The fountain itself was actually fairly small, but the pond it was the centre of was really large. Jisung immediately took note of an abundance of boats floating around all with different flags on them. There were kids running around the edge of the fountain with sticks pushing the boats so that they turned directions.

"Cute." Minho cooed at one of the kids who were giggling excitedly and rushing round the fountain to follow their boat. They had a boat which had the spanish flag on it. It was bobbing along and bumped slightly into a boat which had what Jisung believes was the Chilean flag.

"Do they have motors on them?" Minho raised an eyebrow as the pair leant against the fountain to look closer at them.

"I don't think so, I think it's just the movement of the water rippling from the fountain that makes them move, and of course with the kids nudging them to go certain directions. On the sign it says they are Vintage boats, so I guess they don't have them." Jisung watched as a kid cried to their parents about how their boat had moved away from them before they could tap it with their stick. They comforted the kid in some hushed french tones before the kid ran off to follow the boat across the pond.

"Wanna have a go Hannie?" Minho looked at how Jisung's eyes trained on the boats and was intensely watching the kids play.

"Ha ha no i'm good Hyung, but I'd love to go somewhere that's slightly shaded." Jisung unscrewed his bottle and took a deep gulp, the ice had already melted a lot.
