Marinette's Point of View:
We all head back to the cafe. The Wayne family isn't anywhere in sight. Guess it's taking them longer to change back into their civillain clothes.
"Maman, Papa, we're back!" I exclaim.
"Did you all have a nice walk?" Tom asks.
"Yup! We were able to cool down," I answer.
"Where is the Wayne family?" Bridgette questions.
"They had an urgent matter to attend to. They will be back soon," Alfred says.
We hear the door jingle and turn to see the Wayne family. They all look like they ran a marathon. My eyes linger on Damian longer than I intended to. I don't know why, but every time I look at him, I get lost in his soul.
Bridgette notices it as well and gives me a look. I shake it off and turn back to the conversation at hand.
"Now that all your work here is done, you should start packing," Sabine says.
"Our work here is not done yet. We will be called back to court now that we found out Gabriel, Nathalie, and Lila were helping Hawkmoth," I explain.
"Until I see those assholes go to jail for their crimes, I am not leaving," Bridgette states.
"Bridgette," Alfred warns.
"I agree with Bridgette. We can't leave until everything here is finished, Maman. I know you worry for us. But we won't be at ease until we see them getting punished in front of our own eyes," I explain.
"Plus, we won't leave Adrien to face them alone. Also considering the fact his mother was just found. We won't leave our little brother alone to face this," Bridgette says.
"Alright then, but once that is all over, you are getting on a plane to Gotham," Sabine says.
"Deal," Bridgette and I say.
Once we settle down, we start ordering food and drinks. Bruce and Alfred seem to be chatting with my parents. The rest of the Wayne's join our table.
"Three large cups of triple shot expresso black coffees!" the waitress says as she places down the cups at our table.
Bridgette and I grab our cups. I notice Tim taking the last coffee cup.
"So your a fellow addict as well?" I ask.
"At this point, I'm betting most of my blood is made out of caffeine," Tim replies.
"Welcome to the club," Bridgette states.
Everyone around the table groans.
"What!? Just because you guys can't appreciate the nectar of God doesn't mean we won't," Bridgette says.
"Not another one. And I thought Tim was bad," Jason says.
"If you think this is the strongest brewed coffee blend, wait till you see their original blend," Adrien says.
"Our original blend is perfectly fine," I reply.
"Melody I don't think coffee is supposed to keep you awake for a month straight without sleep," Luka says.
"That abomination should be banned," Kagami states.
"Hey, don't dis our purr-fect coffee," Bridgette says.
"Can I have the recipe?" Time asks.
"As a fellow coffee appreciator, you will have special access to our unique blend," I say.
I watch as Felix, Kagami, Luka, Adrien, Dick, Jason, and Damian give each other looks. Guess they're going to try as hard as they can to stop us. They can try, but they won't win.
I look over to Bridgette and see she has gotten her laptop. Guess she's starting to collect evidence on Lila being a criminal. I briefly glance at the computer screen and see that she has hacked into the Italian government sites to pull up Lila's records.
"Bridgette Yue Dupain-Cheng!" Sabine yells.
I see our mother approaching Bridgette. Bridgette scrambles and shoves the laptop in Felix's bag.
"Yes, Maman," Bridgette says.
"Don't even try Bridgette. I saw the laptop! You promised you wouldn't go on your laptop until you were fully healed," Sabine says.
"But Maman, I'm almost healed. Plus, I need to get all the evidence I have on Lie-la so we can present it to court. It's not like I'm doing my work on there," Bridgette explains.
"Fine, but you have a three-hour limit," Sabine states.
"Alright," Bridgette says.
But knowing Bridgette, she will find a way to get a computer out of thin air even when she is not supposed to have one.
I get startled out of my thoughts when I hear a phone ring. I watch as Adrien excuses himself to take the phone call. Once he returns, I notice his mood has changed with a hint of sadness and anger. It seems like everyone else has too.
"Guys, it was court. They called to inform us that the trial of Gabriel, Nathalie, and Lila will occur this evening. They wanted us to be present at court," Adrien states.
"Isn't that in less than three hours?" Tim asks.
"Yeah," Adrien responds.
"Shit! That means I have to work much faster. Mars, grab your laptop from Felix's bag and help me. There's a huge load of data on that bitch that I need help analyzing," Bridgette says.
"Alright on it," I say and grab my laptop.
"Do you need any help?" Tim offers.
"We would appreciate the help," I say.
"Gladly," Tim says.
Tim, Bridgette, and I get down to work. We have a bitch to take down. By the end of today, Lie-la will know how big of a mistake she made crossing Bridgette and me. We will make sure she ends up in hell.
