You were that lonely girl. The girl who sat in the corner at school dances, the girl who walked alone while she glanced at couples holding hands, the girl who sat alone at home, staring out of the window, watching the clouds roll by. Being lonely, there was never anything new, it was the same routine and if something was off, you panicked because you weren't exposed to the random nature of friends. No one had ever really took the time to get to know you, you were incredibly witty and funny, smart and creative. You were always open to the idea of friends, since you didn't think you scared off people that looked at you, hopefully. But you couldn't change what was given to you, you just gotta embrace it.

And one thing you hoped would gain some friends was being open minded. You weren't easily scared off, horror movies were a joke to you. You could handle more sarcasm and snarkiness than people credited you for. Maybe it really was your appearance?

As your usual routine went, you thoroughly enjoyed sitting on a park bench in the large park your city offered to it's citizens. It was a beautiful day out, considering all of the smile and pollution the world was over run by.

"May I sit here?" A man walked up to you and pointed at the bench. He was tall, blonde hair and gentle blue eyes.

"Sure." You wondered why he took this seat when there are plenty open around you. Oh well, you didn't question him though.

"The name is Lucifer." He said, holding out his hand for you to shake.

Odd name, you thought. But it wasn't your business to be snooping. So you let it be.

You smiled and shook his hand. "Mine is (Y/N). Pleasure to meet you Lucifer."

He smiled back. "Likewise. You seem pretty lonely out here today."

"Yeah, you could say that I don't have very many friends." You replied.

Lucifer looked off into the distance. "I know where you are coming from. People just don't seem to like me."

You frowned. Even if you didn't know him very well, you still didn't like to see people upset like this. "How come?"

"Do you really want to know? I'm a complete stranger, and you want to know my story?"

"Yes, of course! I'm not inconsiderate to not see that you feel a little down about it, plus I'm a great listener."

"Alright." He took a deep breath an began. "It began so very long ago, I was cast down by my family because I loved my father too much..."

You noticed how his story seemed similar to the story of the Lucifer of the Bible. But you thought that maybe the terms "cast down" and living in hell" meant thrown out of the house and living in an orphanage. But you listening intently, noticing the way his face fell when he talked about touchy subjects.

"And here I am now, my brothers and sisters always looking for me, wanting to end my existence and have the peace the yearn for." He ended, looking at you for any hint of emotion to show your true feelings.

"Holy crap, you sure you didn't copy the Bible's Lucifer story? I mean it seems like you want to be the devil or something." Your filter of your thoughts betrayed you as you spoke those words. You slapped a hand over your mouth as your eyes grew wide.
