I stood outside an hour after school ended, in the rain. I had to stay after school for something in Math, and Nate was supposed to come and pick me up. I had been waiting for about twenty minutes, but he hadn't come. I had called him several times, but he wouldn't answer. My house was too far to walk, so I was stranded here until Nate came. Even worse, I had forgotten the key to my house, at home, and my Aunt Harriet was at work.

I sighed and sat down on a bench that wasn't too wet. I couldn't stop thinking about Will's words at lunch. Why had he said that? He was quite weird. Just then a car pulled up in front of me. It was a white BMW, and the person rolled down the window. It was Will, and he was smirking at me.

"Are you slow in the head? Or do you just like getting soaked to death in the rain?" He asked me, amusedly.

I just stared at him for a second. "I was waiting for Nate to pick me up, but he's twenty minutes late."

"Lucky for you I am on my way home, would you care for ride?" Will asked still amusedly.

I looked at him surprisedly. "Um sure."

I walked around to the other side of his car, and got into the passenger seat. As soon as I got in he smirked at me. His black hair was disheveled, and his blue eyes were filled with amusement. I looked away, why was he always smirking?

"I can't actually go home, because I forgot my key at my house, and no ones home." I told him.

"Well aren't you smart today?" He said as he started up his car. "I'll just take you to my house. Cecy will be thrilled."

We were then both silent for a few minutes, as he drove.

"Why did you tell Tatiana that we were dating?" I blurted out.

I cringed right after. God, why did I have to be so awkward?! Will, to no surprise, smirked.

"Oh so you remembered that? I had begun to think that you had forgotten that little situation." He said.

"Why did you tell her?" I asked again.

He shrugged. "I needed to get Tatiana to stop bothering me, and you were conveniently sitting right there."

"Oh." I felt myself feel a bit disappointed, why? I'm not sure.

"Oh? That's all you have to say? I was right early, you are slow in the head." Will smirked.

I glared at him, and he laughed. It was music to my ears.

"I'm only kidding, Tess." He said as he laughed.

Tess. No had ever called me back before. Nate called me Tessie, but that was it. I liked that Will called me that, and no one else.

"Tell me about yourself." Will said suddenly.

"What?" I said, caught off guard.

"You know, like what do you like to do?" He said.

"Oh, well, I really like to read." I said.

"Which books are your favourite?" Will asked.

"Um well I really love the classics. "A Tale Of Two Cities" is my favourite." I said.

Will scoffed. "That book? Don't tell me that you actually like Sydney Carton."

I sat up a bit. "You've read that book?"

"I also like to read. That probably will surprise you." Will said amusedly.

"It does." I admitted. "Have you read "Great Expectations"?"

"To the last hour of my life, you cannot choose but remain part of my character, part of the little good in me, part of the evil." Will recited.

"You have read it!" I exclaimed excitedly.

"Yes I have." He smiled.

"Have you read "Wuthering Heights" ooooh what about "Oliver Twist" Oh I just love that book! I almost love it as much as "A Tale Of Two Cities". It's just so beautifully written and--Are you laughing at me?" I said.

"Not at you." Will chuckled. "More because of you. I've never seen anyone get that excited over books before, you'd think they were diamonds."

"Well they are aren't they? I mean, they can take you anywhere just by sitting in one spot." I said.

"I've never thought of it that way." He said. "Tell me more about yourself."

"Um well, there's not really much else." I said truthfully.

"Oh c'mon there must be more than that." Will said. "What's your favourite colour?"

"Pink."

"Thought so." He smirked, and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"When's your birthday?" He asked.

"July 3rd." I said.

"Oohh a Cancer. You know, they are said to be quite sensitive." Will said.

I rolled my eyes. "Don't tell me that you actually believe in that stuff."

"I don't, I was just seeing if you did." Will's eyes twinkled in amusement.

"When's your birthday? Well, yours and Cecily's?" I asked.

"November 18th." He replied.

"Oohh a Scorpio. You know, they are said to be quite mysterious." I imitated him.

Will laughed and so did I.

"Is Cecily older than you?" I asked him.

"Nope. I'm older than her by six minutes." Will said with satisfaction.

"Do you two have any other siblings?" I asked.

His smile faltered. "No."

I felt as if I had hit a tough spot for him. I decided to quickly change the subject.

"Is your family from England?" I asked quickly.

"Yes and no. My father grew up here, but my mother is from Wales." Will explained.

"Can you speak welsh?" I said.

"Yup. Cecily and I both can." He said.

"Say something." I said.

"Eich bod yn hardd." He spoke, as he smiled at me.

"What does that mean?" I asked curiously.

"It means that we are here." Will said, as he pulled into driveway of his house.

Will parked the car and we both walked to the front the door. We walked in and he shut the door. Just before he was going to walk away, I stopped him.

"Will." I said.

He turned around, his blue eyes bright.

"Yes?" He said.

"Thanks for the ride." I smiled.

Will smirked. "Your welcome, Tess."
