I opened my eyes to the cracked ceiling of the hospital. I sat up and blinked my eyes, and took a look at my surroundings. There were a few bouquets of flowers sitting on a table, and there was a small T.V. In two chairs, on the either sides of me bed, sat Cecily and Sophie, both fast asleep.

"Cecy." I said.

She stirred, and woke up. Her bright blue eyes widened when she saw me.

"Tessa!" She exclaimed. She then looked over at Sophie. "Sophie, wake up."

Sophie bolt upright, startled. Her eyes lit up when she saw me. "Tessa! Your awake!"

"I'll go get the doctor." Cecily said while getting up.

"Wait no, not yet. Let's talk first. How many days have I been in a coma for?" I asked.

"Two weeks." Sophie answered.

My eyes widened. Two weeks? It had felt like two days.

"What have I missed?" I asked.

"Not much, really." Cecily said. "Will has been miserable ever since the accident, though. He thinks it's all his fault."

I was then reminded of hearing his voice while I slept, but did that even happen?

"Did-did Will come to visit me?" I asked.

"I think he came once." Cecily said.

So then it did happen, and that meant that Will wasn't going to talk to me anymore. I felt my heart sink. Why Tessa? That was what you had wanted anyway.

"Whose else visited me?" I asked.

"Your Aunt and Nate. Me, Cecily, Will, Gabriel, and Jem." Sophie explained.

"Who brought the flowers?" I asked.

"Sophie and I brought one for you. The other one, Will got for you." Cecily smirked.

"Stop Cecy, there's nothing going on between us. Not anymore." I looked away from her.

"What do you mean?" Sophie asked.

"I could hear everything while I was in a coma. When Will visited me, he said that it was all his fault that I was like this. We had gotten into a fight before it happened, and I had told him that I was done with him. So when he came here, he told me that he wouldn't talk to me anymore, just like I had wanted. He told me that he would stop bothering me." I said, a bit sadly.

"Is that what you really want, Tessa?" Cecily asked softly.

"I-I don't know." I admitted. "I thought I did in the moment, but now..."

Sophie stood up and clapped her hands together. "Don't stress out about it, Tessa, you've just woken up from a coma. I'll go get the doctor."

The next few hours, were a blur. Aunt Harriet and Nate were called to the hospital. Aunt Harriet cried for about an hour when she saw me, they were tears of joy though. Nate very relieved as well.

"I knew it, I knew you would be okay, Tessie." He smiled.

I just smiled back. "I could hear you all."

"What caused you to hit the truck?" Aunt Harriet asked.

My smile then disappeared. "I don't know, I guess I hadn't been feeling well." I mumbled.

Nate raised an eyebrow at me, but he thankfully didn't say anything. Within the hour, the doctors released me. They said I had recovered very quickly, and that I could go home. I was dying to get home, I was done with laying in that hospital bed. Aunt Harriet made dinner-which was spaghetti-and the three of us sat around the table just talking.

"So Tessa, are you seeing anyone special?" Aunt Harriet asked with a cheeky smile.

"Um no." I said.

"Well, do you like anyone?" She asked.

"I thought I did, but I don't know." I said quietly.

"Tessa, aren't you dating Gabriel Lightwood?" Nate asked, confusedly.

"Oh, whose this Gabriel?" Aunt Harriet smirked.

I shot daggers at Nate. "No one, we aren't even really dating."

"Well, what about you Nate? Are you dating anyone?" Aunt Harriet asked.

"Actually, yes." Nate replied, and Aunt Harriet and mine's fork clattered to our plate.

"Who?" I asked surprisedly.

"Jessamine Lovelace." He said.

"What?" I said shocked. "Jessamine?"

"Yup." Nate said simply.

"But she's so stuck up." I said before I could stop myself.

He shrugged. "She's nice when you get to know her."

"When will I get to meet her?" Aunt Harriet asked.

Hopefully never, I thought to myself. We all then finished dinner, and I went up to room. I didn't want to stay inside anymore, so I decided to go for a walk. I grabbed my phone, and my earbuds, and walked out of the front door.

The evening was a cool one, and I zipped up my jacket all the way. I put in one earbud, and went through the music on my phone. Up ahead, I could see a figure in a hood going for a run. He was running in my direction. Hmm, what should I listen to? I thought.

I could listen to Ariana Grande, and there was also One Direction. Oh god I loved them, Harry was my favourite. I finally settled on 5 seconds of Summer's "She looks so Perfect" I started to walk, and I looked at the ground. Had I really been in a coma for two weeks? It had only felt like hours. The song finished and "Little Things" by One Direction came on next, and I smiled. This was my favourite song by them.

Suddenly, I bumped into somebody and fell. Of course, I fell. My arm still hurt from my accident, and it now started to sting again. I looked at the person who I had bumped into, and froze a bit. It was Will. His hair was very messy, and his blue eyes were bright.

"Oh, Tessa." He said and helped me up. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine." I said.

There was then an awkward silence. I tried to look anywhere but him, but it didn't work.

"Cecily told me you had gotten out of the hospital. How are you feeling?" He asked politely.

"I'm good." I said. You could practically feel the awkwardness.

"That's good." More silence.

"Well, I'm going to get going then." Will said stiffly.

"Yeah me too." I said. We both shot each other a smile and turned around.

I was just about to start walking again, when I stopped. I turned back around.

"Will." I called.

He turned around to face me. "Yeah?"

I smiled. "Thank you for the flowers, they were nice."

Will smiled. "Your welcome, Tess."

We then both went on our ways, and I couldn't help but smile and wonder if he was too.
