Gon climbs to the top of the World Tree where Ging is expecting him, and the two finally have a conversation. In the occasion, Ging starts talking how he first started out as a Hunter and what he's looking for and why he is how he is. He tells Gon about the "outside world", and the fact that the Chimera Ants originated from said place. He explains to Gon that the world is a vast place with so many secrets and that he should take his time on his own journey.

Night falls and Gon remembered something. He looked in his pockets and took out Ging's Hunter license.

"Ging... Here. Kite asked me to return this to you." Gon said and held the license out to his father.

"Oh, okay." Ging took his license back and placed it in his pocket. He felt a pendant and took it out.

Gon tilted his head and Ging sighed.

"This is from your sister."

Gon's eyes widen, "You know her?!"

"Hah?! Of course, I do! She's my daughter. Why would I forget my own daughter?"

Gon faked a smile, "When I got healed, the first thing I asked is where's my sister... Some of my friends looked at me weird and asked me who was I talking about... And I... I realized they really forgot about her so I didn't ask my other friends or you."

"Yeah, I've noticed that too," Ging tossed the pendant to Gon. "Do you know what bird is that?"

Gon looked at the bird and shook his head, "No, I don't know."

"It's a phoenix. It mostly symbolizes rebirth or resurrection since it would consciously consume itself in flames to be reborn and rising new from its ashes young and beautiful to live another cycle..." Ging's eyes looked downward and sighed. "You've seen Kite, right? Your sister gave me this as a clue that she'll also be back, but will look different. I don't know how nor when, but we'll just have to wait, huh?" He looked back up at Gon and his son's eyes were shining.

"Yeah, I'll be waiting... No matter how long." Gon said with full determination as he held the pendant tightly. Ging smiled and then Gon tells him of all his adventures.

And without them knowing, the ghostly figure of [Name] was listening to them the whole time and was smiling when she saw her twin brother and father laughing together. A small part of her wished it was the three of them laughing, but... Life is unfair.

"Farewell..." Her image vanished and the whole world has erased her existence completely. The only people who remembered her was Gon, Ging, Killua and Alluka.

The next day, Gon returns to Kite and her exploration team. He saw a flock of birds and takes a picture of it and sends it to Knuckle, Shoot, Palm, Ikalgo, Meleoron and the rest of his friends at the hospital, along with Killua, Alluka, Hiyoshi and Leorio.

The two Zoldyck siblings were taking a break on their adventure as they were both standing in front of a headstone they had made for [Name] in a graveyard in his country, the Republic of Padokea.

'I miss you so much.' The Zoldyck assassin said in his head as Alluka was placing a bouquet of beautiful flowers in front of her tomb.

Killua and Alluka started to talk about their adventures to [Name], as if she was listening, until they noticed they were finished. They just stood there in silence and noticed a female was murmuring to a tombstone two spots away from them.

The stranger placed a white rose in front of the headstone and walked to the next beside [Name]'s. She murmured something and then placed another white rose in front of it.

Killua looked around and just noticed that every tombstone had a white rose in front of them expect [Name]'s while Alluka noticed the unknown female was holding a basket and there was only one rose left.

Killua and Alluka were still quiet as the female placed the last white rose in front of [Name]'s tombstone.

"Why are you placing roses in every tombstone?" Killua asked, not looking at the female.

She also didn't look at him since she put her hands together in a prayer as she whispered to [Name]'s headstone.

When she finished, she smiled and answered Killua's question, "Just in case they have been forgotten, you know? It's a small habit of mines. I came here yesterday to count how many dead people are here and I came back today to make them feel unforgotten."

"...Ah, I see. That's quite nice of you." Killua replied and she nodded.

"Thanks. And, um... Sorry for asking, but who was that person to you?" The stranger asked.

"She's my girlfriend--" As Killua was saying this, he finally looked at her and he froze when he saw her. She has [h/c] hair, fair skin, and she wearing a simple t-shirt with shorts and a pair of sneakers.

She gasped faintly as she looked at the headstone closely. "Well, will you look at that...!" She glanced at him and gave him a shy smile. "This is kinda weird for me... And probably for you, too."

Killua snapped out of it and noticed she has bright [e/c] eyes meanwhile Alluka was confused the whole time.

"What is?" He asked and she laughed nervously.

"Well, might as well introduce myself..." She sighed as she placed her basket down and then extended her hand out to Killua with a small polite smile. "Hello, fellow strangers~! My name is [Name]. [Name] [Last Name]. I guess it's a pleasure to meet you...?"
