I sat on Wing's couch as he was teaching Hatsu to Gon and Kil.

"Hatsu is the technique by which you control your Nen. It is the culmination of Nen, and there are six distant categories."

I jolted up from the couch and stood next to Kil. "Wing-san, can I explain the 6 categories and what each do?"

"Sure."

I stood next to Wing and looked at them. 'I feel like a teacher~'

"The six categories are Enhancer, Emitter, Transmuter, Conjurer, Manipulator and Specialist. Enhancers are able to strengthen objects. Emitters can propel their aura. Transmuters can alter their aura's qualities. Conjurers are able to manifest their aura. Manipulators can use their aura to control objects and creatures. And Specialists are those with a special aura that doesn't fall within the other five classes."

"Yeah, exactly. The key is to find the power that suits you. Nen is linked to individual ability, with two areas if particular prominence. The first would be your natural potential. The second would be potential refined later in life. Gon-kun, for example, was born with a flexible, springy body."

'Ignore. Ignore. Ignore. I hate it when they compare Gon and me. It feels like we were raised differently when they compare us. I don't have a sharp nose like he does. I can't see that well in the dark like he does....'

I placed a glass full of water and Wing placed a leaf on the top. "Water Divination, a Shingen-ryu technique for classifying your aura. It's also used in Hatsu training. You place your hands beside the cup, and use Ren. The result will reveal your category." Wing explained and did an example. He placed his hands beside the cup and used Ren. The water overflowing...so he is an Enhancer.

"The water is overflowing..."

"That means Wing-san is a Enhancer." I said.

"Exactly. If the amount of water changes, that means you are an Enhancer. This shows that my aura falls within the Enhancer class. Okay, now it's your turn." Wing said and he cleaned the water that overflowed.

Gon went up first and he placed his hand beside the cup and...the water overflowed.

"Gon's an Enhancer, too?"

Zushi went next, placed his hands beside the cup of water and...the leaf moved.

"If the leaf moves, that makes you a Manipulator."

"Okay, I'm next!" Kil said and did the procedure and...nothing happened.

"Nothing's happening."

I smiled at him, "What are you talking about, Kil? Taste the water!"

"Taste it?" Gon, Zushi, and Kil dipped their finger in the water and tasted it.

"It might be a little sweet..."

"You're right. But isn't this just water?"

"Yup. But Kil changed it. Which means he's a Transmuter."
