A Surprising Challenge? ✔

Me, Gon and Kurapika reunited back with Leorio and Killua at the Phase Two site. Satotz leads what remains of the candidates to meet the second phase examiners. Menchi and Buhara. The examiners declare the next phase is to test their cooking skills, much to the candidates' disbelief. The test requires pork, so we were sent to find pigs in the forest.

"Catch a pig and cook it. This is way easier than the First Phase." Leorio said as his cheek was still swollen from Hisoka's punch.

"I hope it will be that simple..." Kurapika said in a low voice.

Gon poked my side and whispered into my ear. "Follow me." He sat down and went sliding down the hill. I followed him and went sliding down on the hill and bumped behind him. I smiled and then felt someone bump behind me and then again and again.

"What was that about, Gon?!" Killua yelled. Oh, so it was Killua behind me… I looked at him and pointed to my right. "We found them." He looked to what I was pointing at.

"Pigs! Wait...uhh...they're chewing on bones." Leorio said shockingly.

"Don't tell me..." Kurapika trailed off.

"Y-yeah...they're carnivores..." I nervously said. We all stood up quickly and ran as fast as we could. There was now a stampede of huge pigs. Other applicants were flown to the sky, due to the pig's large, stout noses.

After the stampede of pigs discarded, it was much calmer and easier to pursue them.

Gon was fighting a pig and thanks to him, we discovered the pigs' weakness and manage to each get one for our cooking.

'Good thing auntie taught me how to cook...(￣▽￣) '

As I was roasting my pig, I saw mostly all the applicants were failing. Leorio went up to show his food but Menchi didn't like it, and the same thing happened to Gon and Kurapika. I was finished roasting my pig and turned off the fire. I took off my glove and placed some pieces of lettuce neatly on a plate, then I grabbed a knife and cut the pig's head, tail and legs off. Then I gently peeled off some of the pig's rough skin, i cutted the pig into littles roll and took off the bones. I placed the little pig rolls on top of the plate. I squashed some cherries and poured some of the cherry liquid on top of the pig roll and then i placed some cherries around them. I put my gloves back on and headed my way to Menchi and Buhara.

'Finally~! It's done!'

I placed my plate on their table and everyone looked surprised.

"Finally, something that looks like an actual meal.” Menchi grabbed a fork and took a bite out of my food. I saw her eyes widen and a small blush appeared on her face. “This...This is delicious~ The way it how it looks and the way it tastes~!”She rose to her feet, “#406 is the only one who passed! The Second Phase is over!"

I stood next to Menchi and looked at all the applicants and saw the dirty looks everyone was giving me. Even my 3 friends looked sad, what killed me the most was how the way Gon was looking at me so I just closed my eyes and looked away. Then heard something break but I didn't bother to look.

"I won't accept it… I absolutely refuse to accept this! How come that brat is the only one who passed?! Answer me!" A man said angrily.
