Gon had placed the tape in the cassette player and pressed play. It was rolling but it was quiet. After a few seconds...

"Hey Gon..." Said a deep voice coming from the cassette player.

I slowly stood up and sat on the bed, facing the window.

"So you became a Hunter, too. Gon, I have a question for you. Do you want to see me? If you do, keep on listening. If you don't, press the stop button." The voice or should I say Ging's voice said to Gon.

'I would LOVE to press the stop button.'

Gon didn't press the stop button and Ging's voice came again,

"I'm guessing that's a 'yes.' Then I'll ask you once more. Are you prepared? Hunters are selfish creatures."

'So are you considering yourself as a selfish creature?'

"They're willing to sacrifice anything to get what they want. If you're only slightly interested in seeing me, you should stop the tape. I'll give you a minute to consider it."

I looked at Gon and I saw that shine in his eyes. 'You really want to see dad, don't you? I'm sorry Gon but I won't let you..'

I stood up and left the room. (By accident I slammed the door shut due to my anger.) I went to my room, picked up the [favorite color] steel box and used Ren. The steel plates dropped on the floor and there was a black with red box. I looked at it but I couldn't find a slot to put my Hunter License.

"How do you open this box-" I noticed there was a keyhole and the shape of it was a crescent moon. I looked at my necklace and inserted the moon in the keyhole and it opened. I took out my necklace and looked inside. There was a CD, a different version of my necklace, and a photo. The photo was the first to caught my eye. I carefully pulled it out and looked at it. There were 2 babies and 2 adults. The man carried the female baby and the woman was carrying the male baby. I looked closely and I noticed those two babies are me and Gon and the man is Ging...so is that woman my...mom?

'She's really pretty. I'm surprised dad found a girl like her...' I took out my box of photos, from under my bed, and carefully placed the photo there. I went back to the small box and saw a small CD. I took out my old CD player, inserted the small CD in, putted on my earbuds, and pressed play.

"Hey, [Name]...I can't believe you're 12 already...You might hate me for not taking care of you and your brother but there are 2 reasons. I'm researching to see if your right eye is a curse and the other reason is that I want something. You might think I'm selfish but I'm not." Ging said and I don't know why but I found his voice to be soothing and father like.

'Oh, really?'

"Anyway, I will tell you some things that you need to know first. One, don't use your powers too much or don't make a new one with that eye of yours. Two, stop protecting your brother. Three, if you happen to go to Greed Island I expect you to be the one who gets all the cards. But if it's Gon, make sure you go with him."

'Greed Island? Cards? Wait. How do you even know I'm protecting him??'

"And four, I don't want you to get hurt or a boyfriend!"

I mentally face palmed. 'How do you go to serious to stupid?'

"Did you hear me miss? Don't get a boyfriend until I see what type of person he is!!"
