I wrap my arms around Kai as he rushes towards me. He buries his face into my shoulder.

"I missed you," he murmurs

I take his face in my hands, moving his face where I can fully see him. I smile and gently kiss him.

"And I'm glad that you're okay" I smiled wrapping my arms back around him

"She's dead, but I didn't kill her." He whispers.

"That's okay, I feel like he deserved the vengeance just as much if not more than I did," I replied looking over at Makoto, who had a smirk on his face as two imperials hauled Blaire's body out of the cave. "Let's just go home, and get you some well-needed rest," I reply, pulling away from his embrace and taking his hand in my own, leading him back to the palace.

When we finally enter the halls, entering our room he flops onto the bed dragging me with him. He pulls me on top of him just taking deep breaths. "I love you," I whisper.

"I love you too." He says back to me with a smile. He looks towards my bump. "How's baby Azer doing?" he asks me.

"Kicking up a storm, as usual. But otherwise, she's good." I reply.

"She? I thought that we didn't know what the gender was?"

"We don't technically, but I have a gut feeling," I reply laughing nervously.

He throws his head back and laughs. "You and your gut feelings, just like you had a feeling that the fighting rings of Dor was a good idea?"

"Hey, I never said that was a good idea, it was just an easy way to survive until I found a better option. Same with stealing."

"Pae, you amaze me you know that?"

"Maybe just a little." I giggle. Then the baby starts kicking up a storm. "Hey feel this," I say grabbing his hand and guiding it to my stomach. I watch as his face lights up. This is his first time feeling our baby kick since they always stop as soon as I go to show him. But today for the first time, they continue to kick.

"That's our baby." He smiles

Moments like these make me forget everything we have gone through and will go through. 

(a/n hey guys sorry this chapter is so short, I'm just struggling with a connector chapter of where I want this to go next. Anyway, we hit 12,000 reads this week so that's great. I still am amazed by how much traction this book has gained, and I send all that thanks to you guys. I hope you enjoy this cutesy but short chapter.
