On Deserted street- Chapter - 5

Once Manik left from Cabir's house...he was
in deep shock about what Cabir said
regarding Nandini's death...he was in
pain..he never ever wanted to accept the
fact that Nandini died in his arms and he
wasn't able to do anything...but now he has
to face it...as Cabir made him to face...He
was walking on the lonely dark streets
lifelessly...he was only walking in daze...he
didn't understand how to react..whether he
should cry over Cabir's talk or whether he
should be happy that he saw Nandini
today...his eyes were moist..dark red..tears
flowing continuously from them..Suddenly
heavy rain started as if god himself was
crying with the innocent soul...he was on the
verge of shattering..he was all drenched..he
collapsed on the road right there..and start
screaming...he was on his knees..he opened
his arms...look upwards..closed his eyes and
shouted with all the pain inside him ...
"AAA...AAHAAA...AAHAAA..."..He was crying
like hell...
Manik : "kyuuu...kyuuu...why us
..god...why..."..he was crying as well as
screamimg with the top of his voice...
Manik : "meri...meri nandini zinda hai...hai
wo...hai...wo...wo...dekha maine use..woh
thi...mai ..mai launga use...maiii..."...he
started crying even more now..the pain
which he kept in his heart from so long is
now flowing from his eyes in the form
tears...
(Background music)

He was literally crying...wiping off his
tears...he grab himself and stood up..he look
upwards..as he feel god is also angry with
him..he start walking again...

He imagined Nandini standing very close
him..just when he tried to touch her
..she disappeared...he look around in
shock..and found himself lonely on the
road...he grab a stone from the road and
threw away in anger and frustration...
He start walking again and reached his
home..all the guards were hell shocked to
find him such Deteriorating condition..he
was all drenched in water..his hairs were
messy..he was looking down and walking
lifelessly...as soon as he entered in a living
room..a lady came running towards him...
"Manik...beta...yeh kya haal bana rakha
hai...andar aao..."...she made him sit on the
couch and asked servants to bring water
and towel...when they brought towel
and water...she instantly made him drink
water..and start drying his hair with the
towel..while he was still looking down..after
a lot of silence...
"Mom...maine use dekha..."..he managed to
say this..the lady stopped right there what
she was doing..and look made him look in
her eyes...
Nyonika : "tumne Nandini ko dekha Manik??
"..she asked in disbelief...
Manik : "ha..an..."..he stammered..
Nyonika : "Manik..tum..tumne use
dekha...are u sure??"..
Manik : he look at her and said.. "Mom ..wo
hai..plz believe me...wo hai..u know na..wo
mujhe ..kabhi chorkar nhi ja
sakti...mom...plz ..plz believe me..."..he
started crying again and sat down on the
floor put his head in her lap..and started
crying holding her tight...she also put her
cheeks on his head and a tear escape from
her eyes..but she hel them..she lifted her
head up and ruffled his hairs..
Nyonika : "I believe u Manik..I believe..."
Manik look at her and put his hand in her
laps and look at her..
Manik : "sirf ap he mera believe karti ho
mom..sabko lagta hai ki...ki..."...he choked ...
Nyonika : "Manik..plz..be strong.."..she
caressed his face and wipe away his
tears..she held his face in her palm... "You
need to prove them..woh yahin hai..hai
na..so find her..le aao use wapas...then
everyone else also believe u..."
He stood up..wiped away his remaining
tears and said..
Manik : "Han mom..i will bring her back..i
promise.."..with this he moved upstairs in
his room..
Nyonika : "woh..kabhi accept nahi kar
paega..ki nandini is no more..i lost my son..i
lost him..."...she cried..tears flows from her
eyes...and servants who were standing they
were also have tears in their eyes..a servant
came to her and asked..
Servant : "Ma'am ..dinner laga doon..."
Nyonika : "When my son is empty stomach
..how can i eat..bhook nahi hai...ap log sab
kha lijiye"..and she left for her room..
Servants discussed how after nandini..the
soul of this house is also left..
MANIK'S ROOM :
Manik entered in his room..it was all
dark..he opened his closet and from the
drawer bring out Nandini and his picture..in
which he was bag hugging her and his chin
was placed on her shoulder while his both
hands were encircled around her
stomach..her one hand was on his cheek and
other was holding the hand of his which is
on her stomach..they both smiling
widely...he hold her picture tightly and
walked towards his bed and sat down...
Manik : "tum is picture ko hamare room ki
wall pe lagana chahti thi na nandini...plz
wapas aa jao..tum jo bologi mai karunga..plz
aa jao..."...tears welled in his eyes..and
start reminiscing some moments...
(F lashback) :
Nandini was sitting on bed and checking out
some pictures of them...while manik was
busy in nuzzling his nose in nandini's hair...
Nandini : "Manik..hum na..yeh wali picture
lagaye ge apne room mei.."..she showed him
picture with a bright smile..but Manik was
busy in his own work..that is ..in romancing
her ..
Manik : "hmmm.."..he just hmm..ed..and this
annoy nandini more..she pushed him back
and he fell straight on bed..
Nandini : "Manik are u even listening..what
m saying.."..she look at him in anger..
Manik : he sat comfortably and said..
"ofcorse..i was listening to u..han..i was
listening..."..he said while looking away as
he was really not listening..
Nandini : "Seriously Manik...acha to batao
mai kya keh rahi thi..." she rubbed her chin
and asked him making her eyes big and with
a evil smile...
Manik : "wooo...ooo...u r scaring me
nandini..."..he tried to act as if he is scared...
She grabbed him by his collar and came
very close to his face ..while Manik was
stunned at her reaction...
Nandini : "Mr. Malhotra ..."she said in husky
voice..which make manik in spellbound ..she
came near his hears and bit his earlope and
continued.. "u r so dead today..."...and she
pushed him on the bed and start bitting him
with the pillow..while he tried to protest..but
all in vain..after some time...manik grabbed
Nandini's hand and make her fell beneath
him..
he was now on top of her..and held both her
hands tightly on the bed..she tried to get up
but her protest was in vain as his grip on
her was strong..
Manik : "when u r around...mujhe kuch aur
dikhai he nahi deta..all i want to be in your
arms...only..."...he said in a very husky voice
to which nandini blushed hard..
Manik : he came near her ears "and
whenever u blush like this na..i feel like
eating u right there..."..this make her blush
even more..he kissed her forehead..then
both her eyes..they he just keep teasing her
by moving his nose all over her face..he
came near her lips..when he was about to
claim it..she pushed him and he fell
otherside..while she stood up and
laughed..he just made an expression ... NOW
WHAT...
Nandini : "Mr.Malhotra..don't try to act
smart with me..okay..so u never listen to me
na..so this is ur punishment..no kissing..no
touching..for 2 days.."..
Manik stood up in shock and made a puppy
face..
Manik : "Nandini kya yaar..you can't do
that..plz..."
Nandini : "sorry Mr. Malhotra u called it
for..i can't help it..."
while manik makes an annoy face..and
nandini start explaining him
what amendments she want in his room..this
time he was listening her carefully but still
making cute cute sad faces...nandini
observed this..and came near him..make him
look at her..and she encircled her hands
around his neck...
Nandini : "Mr. Malhotra..next time agar
apne meri baat nahi suni na..toh..i u will
never able to listen my voice..u will start
craving for it..."...
This statement made manik furious..he held
her tightly by her waist and look directly
into her eyes..she realized what she had
done..and now this monster is going to
explode..
Manik : "don't u dare nandini...don't u dare
to..."
Nandini she tried to calm him down
..caressed his frowns and held his face in
her palm.. "mai to bas yuhe bol rahi thi
manik..relax.."
Manik : "YUHE..tumhe pata hai..tumne kya
bola..."he was more angry now and tried to
leave ..but she hold his hand and push him
to the nearby wall...and start kissing
him sensuously..he was shocked at first..by
soon he also responded ..and now they both
were kissing like there is no tomorrow..soon
they broke the kiss because they were out of
breath..they rested there forehead on each
other..
Manik : "you always manage to calm me
down..."
Nandini : she smile and said .." i
know.."..."so next time u will always listen
to me..right"
Manik : "yes ma'am..."and they both start
laughing...
(Flashback end)
Manik : "i never thought..u meant your
words that day.. "..tears were flowing from
his eyes...he lay down on the bed and
hugged the pic...he closed his eyes..and he
reminds how he saw her today ..taking a bus
to Shimla...
Manik : "tum ho...mai prove kar dunga...mai
aa raha hoon Nandini...aa raha hoon
main.."..and after sometime he drifted to
sleep...
CABIR'S HOUSE :
After Manik left..Cabir was totally
shattered..Navya tried to calm him down
and called mukti and dhrulya at cabir's
house..all were sitting in the living area...
Mukti : "Mujhe samjh nahi aa raha hai..yeh
ho kya raha hai..."
Dhruv : "what buddy is saying...is it
true??..."
Aaliya : "no Dhruv..it can't be...u know it ..it
just can't..."
Navya : "hume samjh nahi aa raha hai
ki..manik ne kisko dekha aaj.."...
all were hell confuse..while cabir in a deep
thought..navya found him lost..and pat on
his shoulder..
Navya : "kya soch rahe ho??"
Cabir : looking on the floor "yahe
ki...manik..ne nandini ko dekha..but
kese...hum sab jante hai..yeh possible nahi
hai..Nandini died in Manik's arms only..."
Mukti : "exactly..yeh kese possible hain.."
Cabir : "hum sab kuch to miss kar rahe hai..
i mean kuch to hai jo samne hai ..par najar
nahi aa raha..."
Navya : "tum kehna kya chahte ho..."
Cabir :he look at all of them..there face were
blank..."guys..agar nandini ki dead body
humne nahi dekhi hoti..toh manik ese
behave karta..samjh aata..ki wo accept nahi
kar pa raha hai ki nandini has left us..but
manik is so sure about nandini being
alive..even after he had seen her dead..she
took her last breath in his arms..."
they all look at each other..and it stroke in
their mind..that they never thought with
this perceptive...
Mukti : "u r right cabir..humne kabhi esa
socha he nahi..hume laga manik is hurt..."
Cabir : "yes..but the question arises..manik
ne nandini ko dekha..how is this possible..."
A voice from back.. "Possible hai Cabir..it is
possible..."...
they all turn around to see the owner of that
voice...and everyone was shocked to see the
person's face...
