How do T.V. shows and Food chains become famous? One step they use is advertising.
To advertise means to describe or draw attention to a product, service, or event in a public medium in order to promote sales or attendance.
You can apply this in Wattpad. The question is, Where will I advertise for free? Facebook of course. There are so many groups in Facebook. You can search for wattpad groups and join one. once you're a member, don't be shy to post your story on that group. Members would be kind enough to check your works out. If you have a very interesting title, It could attract more members. Please see the chapter entitled "Title" if you forgot about it already.
There are also facebook pages that would love to plug your work on their wallpage. Feel free to send them a message. If they like your story they will plug it on their wall and some of the people who like their page might open your work. Just be careful, some pages asks for money and it might be a scam.
I have also posted my works in Facebook groups and it really helps a lot.
