AN UPDATE!
This might be the last update for a few weeks because our school starts on August 30 ;-;
I only updated so soon because of that.
ENJOY!Edit: I was thinking of making a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE book.
"Yes!" You and Hiccup cheered then high-fived.
You cheerfully looked at the word counter on Microhard Sentence (Sorry XD) on Hiccup's laptop which said indicated that you had written 2,000 words.
"18,000 more words to go!" You breathed out, stretching your arms in the air.
Hiccup sat tiredly in the corner with his shoulders slumped, his laptop on top of his lap. "Yay." He saved it and closed the laptop shut.
You placed the heavy book you had borrowed from the library back in your backpack and got up from the mite-infested floorboards to lay down on your moldy mattress, closing your eyes. "My eyes hurt so much..."
It had been 3 hours since Anne locked the two of you inside your sorry excuse for a room, and moths were swarming the single lightbulb that hung at the center of the room. A few, maybe fifteen, insects had climbed from the window or from the cracks in the wall. A fat rat scurried across, too.
You and Hiccup had bickered for twenty minutes after you said, "I hate you, too!"
Then after that, you decided to do the project.
I wonder what Anne was doing, you thought, keeping your eyes closed.
Then suddenly, you heard a 'click!' and the door swung open, revealing a tired-looking Anne. Her hair looked like it had been run over by chickens, and her hands were slightly shaking.
She smiled widely, a crazy glint in her cold eyes. "Dinner's ready, darlings."
Hiccup opened one eye and lazily got up, his laptop under his arm. You slowly sat up and rubbed your eyes.
"Not hungry," you groaned.
Anne smiled even wider. "I said, dinner. Is. Ready. Darlings," she said through gritted teeth.
You gave Hiccup an uneasy glance, and he just nodded.
You had nothing to do but to followed her downstairs.

Room 315 was silent.
Not the sound of typing, writing, or breathing.
The nurse came into the room, holding a clipboard. "Doctor, the- OH MY GOD!" The nurse screamed, dropping the clipboard to the floor and put her hand over her mouth.
Doctor Stanford lay dead on his chair, blood trickling down the sides of his mouth. He had a black eye and his glasses were broken. There was a red, circular mark on his pristine-white coat.
Blood.
His hands and feet were tightly bound with rope, and there was a piece of cloth around his neck. Not to mention that he was also tied to his chair.
A male nurse stormed into the room, alarmed. "What happened?! Holy-!"
He rushed towards the dead body of their new doctor. He had obviously gotten into a fight. But the criminal had a gun, and just shot him.
"Who would do this?" The female nurse whispered, emerging from the other nurse's side.
He shrugged and didn't answer.
