When Kelly woke up he was blinded by the lift shining through the hospital window. As his eyes adjusted to the light he felt the weight was gone from his hand. He saddened to think that she left him. As that thought came to him he heard the toilet flush and the sink turn on. Soon came out the beautiful blonde that he was hoping to see. Once she saw him awake she smiled the biggest smile she could give him.
"Hey you." She said to him as her smile grew even bigger as she went to hold his hand.
"Did you stay here the whole night with me?" He asked with a small grin on his face.
"Of course! I mean it's not like you had a ceiling collapse on you or anything." She said with a little chuckle, but then her face grew serious as a small tear escaped her eyes. She tried biting her lip to prevent the year but it did not work. He saw this.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He reached his hand up to wipe the lone tear away. Once his hand wiped the tear away she leaned into his hand as he cupped her cheek. She moved her hand up to grasp the one against her cheek. They stayed in this moment for a minute. Just them. Staring at each other. Finally Sylvie spoke up.
"I was worried about you. I... I was worried that I might lose you before..." She said in a whisper hoping that he didn't hear her voice trail off and question what she was saying. But she was wrong, she avoided his gaze thinking he
"Before?" He questioned her hoping she would say what it was.
"Before, I could tell you how I felt about you." She looked up at him as she told him with her tear stained eyes. Kelly was left speechless. Did she really feel the same for him?
"And what are your feelings towards me exactly?" He said tightening his grip around her hand.
"I may like you just a tiny bit."
"Only a tiny bit?" He smirked at her.
"You know you can be a smart-ass sometimes." She chuckled and he stared at her for a few seconds.
"I'm glad you feel that way about me cause I feel exactly the same." He was finally happy to actually say that to her.
He intertwined their fingers together in the hand he was still holding. This was his chance he thought. So he took it. Pulling her closer to him, he kissed her. She was surprised by this action but slowly accepted it, by placing one of her hands on his cheek and the other intertwined in his hair. After a long minute like this they finally broke apart. Foreheads resting against each as they tried catching their breathes.
"Wow." Sylvie said as she sat down of the bed to keep her legs from falling out from underneath her.
"Yea. Wow." They both smiled at each other after letting what just happened soak into their minds. This was reality. And this reality was working out great for them.
"So... Does this mean...?" Kelly pointed between them. Sylvie gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"Well I sure hope so or else I would be very disappointed since what just happened between us would of been gone." She smirked at him. Her hand moved up to his forehead slowly caressing it.
"Please don't scare me again like that." Her tone was serious and almost demanding.
"Anything for you." He smiled a loving smile at her.
"Good answer." She gave him one final peck on the lips before gently snuggling into his side resting her hand in his chest. They both finally realized that everything was right in the world right now. The stars were all aligned  for them at this moment.
