Kelly woke up from his position on the couch and felt a body against his left side. He looked down and smiled at the woman that was lying against him. She was the one person that had been there with him he most during his hospital stay. Yeah Casey, Gabby, and the rest of the firehouse did come visit, but with her it was different. Sylvie was someone that he could actually talk to and she didn't see him just as someone to have a one night stand with. She genuinely cared for him and him in return. He bent his head down a little bit to place a gentle kiss upon her head and continued to think about her.
Once Sylvie felt the small kiss she smiled to herself thinking this man could possibly be the one. After her almost marriage and one night stand with Sean, she really wanted to find the one. Someone she could wake up to every morning and could call hers. Sylvie thought that Kelly could be the one. If it was to happen she sure wouldn't play he runaway bride in this situation. After her thoughts stopped she moves from her position to look up at Kelly with her half-asleep eyes. She stretched and smiled at him.
"I guess the pizza was good last night." Sylvie said chuckling at him thinking anything probably would be better than hospital food.
"It was better than good. But I think he company was even better." He smiled at her and wrapped and arm around her waist pulling her gentle towards him. He then placed a gentle kiss on her lips but Sylvie deepened it quickly. Then they stopped. Sylvie pulled back and looked deeply in his eyes. The pools of blue staring right back at her.
"Are you up for getting out of the house and just walking around town? I know you just got out of the hospital and all but I think being locked up in one place definitely is not at the top of your list." Being in he hospital for so long you definitely don't get around so she thought an adventure would be fun for the two of them.
"Anything sounds good as long you're there." Sylvie started laughing at him. She was laughing at how cheesy that sounded coming from him. Big old tough squad lieutenant being all lovey dovey. "What's so funny?" He was defiantly confused.
"Nothing. But if we want to do something we better go now." She pecked his lips and then jumped up heading to her room Kelly heading towards the bathroom. After about 30 minutes were ready to go. They both decided on a classic Chicago place to go. Navy Pier. They wanted to go out and see other people that were not doctors or nurses. Also to have fun together. They made their way down the pier hand in hand just talking about everything and anything. Both had stopped at a few of the game booths trying to win gifts for each other. Eventually he won her a small little bear.
Walking down the pier again hand in hand Sylvie took a glance over at Kelly. She felt like she was in a classic romance movie. Boy and girl fall in love, go to a fair and the boy wins a prize for the girl, and they walk hand in hand together for the rest of the night. She didn't care though if it all seemed so cliche, because she loves every moment of it.
Kelly felt her gaze on him and smiled to himself thinking how lucky he was to have this beautiful woman next to him. Soon after walking around on the pier for almost the whole day the sun started to set and they found a bench to both sit on for awhile and just watch the horizon. Sylvie adjusted from her position and placed both her legs on Kelly's legs and put her hand on the back of his neck gently stroking it.
"Are you happy with me?" Kelly questioned her. He really cared for her but was worried about their future.
"Of course. Where is this coming from?" She furrowed her brow at him wondering why he asked such a thing. He then took her hand, the one that wasn't on his neck and looked her straight in her eyes.
"Because I really care for you. People keep leaving my life and I don't want you to go." He placed a kiss on her hand and tightened his grip worrying she would be gone soon.
"I'm not leaving anytime soon. I care too much for you too." She kissed him and their foreheads rested against each other. And they both stayed like this until they decided it was time to head home and rest up. They were ready for their future together
