It was a long day of work. Especially for Sylvie. Her and Gabby were called to the local neighborhood where a young girl witnessed her parents arguing. The fight escalated to where the father started throwing punches at the mother and the girl was too scared to move. Eventually she was able to get to the phone and call the police. When Sylvie and Gabby were called to this house they believed that it would just be another dispute between a husband and wife, but this became more personal for Sylvie. The wife was her sister Amelia. Back at the firehouse she didn't really pay attention to the address because she usually leaves that to Gabby. Once they arrived at the house Sylvie took of in a sprint towards house. She really hoped that maybe her sister moved and just never told her. She knew that would be a silly thought, but at least it gave her some kind of hope.

When Sylvie got into the house the sight in front of her made her fear the worst. Broken family picture frames and flower vases were scattered everywhere. It was weeks since Sylvie had talked to Amelia because they got in a huge argument over her husband Dean.  Before the argument started, Sylvie had saw Dean hanging out a Molly's with another woman while she was hanging out with Gabby, Matt, and Kelly. For a moment she believed that it was just a business associate he was having a nice drink with after a long day of work. Boy was she wrong. She did not expect him to kiss her and her to kiss him back. It took every ounce in her body for her not to get up and punch Dean square in the face. Kelly could see she was focused on something else other than the conversation but he figured he would bring it up later at home.

Just stepping into the house Sylvie felt a sense of guilt. Even though she tried to get Amelia to leave him, she wouldn't. Amelia loved him too much and never took it into account that he was always getting home around 1 AM but blamed it on "business". They didn't talk for weeks because Sylvie wanted to give Amelia her space in order to figure out the situation. Apparently today was the day that Amelia brought the idea up to him. Now, this brings us full circle to where Sylvie is at this moment.

"Amelia?! Hey can you hear me?" Amelia was laying on the carpet in the living room. Sylvie didn't even care that there was broken glass everywhere that she stepped. She made her way to Amelia and crouched down to get a better look at her injuries. It was hard for her to stay calm in this situation because on the inside she really wanted the cops to let Dean go so she could punch him multiple times for hurting her only sibling.

"Sylvie?" Amelia's left eye was swollen shut but she did the best she could to look at Sylvie's concerned face. She tried to lift her head up a little bit but Sylvie yelled at her not to in case she was injured more than she thought.

"You're going to be okay. Gabby and I are both here now and we're going to get you to the hospital as fast as we can." Amelia was trying to hold back a sob as she used her non-injured arm to bring her hand to Sylvie's cheek. A silent "I love you" was shared between the two siblings. The most famous three words that are shared universally between human beings.

Amelia was put in a neck brace and placed in the gurney. Gabby told Sylvie that she would drive to allow Sylvie to be with her sister. The whole ride to the hospital Sylvie held Amelia's hand while trying to also cover up any open wounds she had. Upon arrival they rushed inside Chicago Med as fast as possible because on the way there Amelia had lost consciousness a couple times. Most likely due to her energy being so low or all the blood loss that she had occur. Sylvie tried walking with the doctors but ended up just being stopped by Halstead.

"Will, please it's my sister." Sylvie was trying to beg Halstead to let her go at least be some sort of assistance in the room.

"Brett you already know that I can't let you. Go wait in the waiting room and I'll come out with news as soon as I have any. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her." Will placed a reassuring hand on Sylvie's shoulder and tried to bargain with her as much as possible. Sylvie finally gave him a small nod and headed towards Gabby who was sitting in the waiting room and was silently staring at the floor. As soon as she saw Sylvie she stood up and gave her a hug.
