Blake

She was sitting in the snow in front of a headstone. Why was she in the graveyard?

Ever since the party, my mind had been thinking non-stop and I just needed to go see her and have comfort. But when I left my house and saw her front door hanging open I knew something was wrong.

I saw her footprints in the fresh snow and followed them until I reached the cemetery.

I found her sitting in the snow, looking at a headstone. Her head snapped to me.

She had tears in her eyes and just the thought off her crying made my heart ache.

I slowly walked towards her as she stared intently at me. Lowering myself down onto the snow with her, her eyes follow my movement.

She looks back ahead of her and I do the same.

Neatly engraved on the stone is Joshua Landon McClinton.

That was her brother? He died?

I looked back at Casey, the sorrow was evident in her eyes. And she could see the confusion in mine. She took in a deep breath and turned back towards the stone.

"I guess you're confused." She begins and I answer with a nod. "It was right after you left, the two of us were at the park, it was around 10 at night. We were walking towards the car that was parked in the lot and as we got closer another car swerved into the parking lot.

It headed strait for us and we ran, but the car....it......it hit him."

Casey's voice starts to shake and I know this is hard for her to talk about.

She started again, "the car, it just sped away, leaving us there. I ran to Josh after calling 9-1-1 and just held him....he died in my arms, before they could even get there." Then she turned to look at me again, "do you wanna know his last words?"

I nodded, "if you want to tell me."

"Ok well, he said, 'You have Blake, he'll take good care of you' . What's that supposed to mean? Why were my brothers last words about you?"

She looks at me with curious eyes. I knew why he said that. She's bound to find out sooner or later right?

"Blake do you know why?" She asked. I really have to tell her don't I? She deserves it right?

"Um, possibly."  That's a lie, I know exactly why.

"What!" Oh god please don't be mad at me! "Tell me Blake!"

I remember that memory like it happened yesterday, my secret getting out, Josh knowing, I thought my life was going to end that day. Well, here goes nothing, "so here's what happened..."

Mwahhaha!
You've gotta end it with a cliff hanger right?

Btw, sorry that it's so short.

Okay anyways. I'm so happy that I'm starting to get a lot more readers and I would love to hear your feedback on how I'm writing and also hear any ideas that you have.

Yay I'm so excited!
