CASEY POV

Wake up.

Wake up.

Please.

Just wake up

I sat in the chair next to Blake's bed with his limp hand between both of mine.

Valentine walked in with my mom holding a small bunch of flowers. They were white roses-Blake's favorite.

I felt my tears starting to form in my eyes.

"Don't cry momma, daddy is gonna wake up. Don't be sad. It makes me sad." Valentine quietly says while walking up next to me.

I put a small smile on my face and looked at V.

"I love you baby girl." I told her and held her tight to my chest.

Not long after, mom and Valentine left the room and I was left alone again.

I just got out of the hospital. I wasn't supposed to be back here. And for sure not because of Blake.

My sleep slowly overtook me and I was left in a state of total blackness.

Blake POV

My head is pounding. My memories flood back to me making my head hurt even worse.

Paul wrapped his fingers through my hair and yanked my face to meet his.

"You fucking bastard. You really think I was going to just let you keep Valentine?"

I looked at him with such hatred.

Then before I could even think, his fist came in contact with my jaw, then my eye, then my nose.

He dropped me head back and I slumped in the chair I was tied to.

My ribs hurt from all the beatings I have gotten. It's been two months since Valentine and I have been here.

Nothing's happened to her, which in grateful for.

I get beat at least once a day.

They've even used a whip on me once.

Paul untied my arms from the chair and pulled me to my feet.

But before we could get far one of his men pushed through the door.

"Sir! Cops! They found us!"

Paul grabs my arm and pulls me with him. I stumble and trip a few times.

But then as Paul himself trips, I quickly get out of his hold and ran away from him as quickly as possible.

I need to get out of here, but I need Valentine first.

"Val!" I scream and within seconds the little girl comes running to me with tears streaming down her face.

I pick her up quickly and turn around, coming face to face with Paul.

I dodge him as he tries to hit me and run out of the building.

I run as fast as I can and before I know it, I find myself in front of Casey's house.

I climb the ladder next to Casey's window and jump onto her balcony.

"V" I say as I try to catch my breath. "Tap on the door, get Casey to come to the door."

But as she taps the door, I realize that I don't even know if Casey is still alive. She was shot. She might even still be in the hospital.

But my thoughts are cut short as a pain shoots through my side.

Only now do I realize how much pain I am really in.

I lean against the door and come to the fact Casey isn't here.

But then the door opens and I fall through. Landing on the floor I see Casey's face.

My eyes open looking into a blinding light.

Machines are around me, beeping, and beeping.

But when I go to lift my arms and rub my eyes, only one hand moves.

I look to my other hand.

"Casey?" I say in shock. When? How? Why? She's ok?

Her head lifts and before I can even think her lips are on mine giving me a gentle kiss.

"I've missed being able to kiss you! I'm so happy you are okay!"

I pull her into my hospital bed and lay her next to me giving her a kiss on her forehead.

"Shh. Let's just sit her together and savor the fact we're with each other and we're both okay."

Casey nods her head lightly and we sit together, loving the fact we are both here together, in each others arms.
