Paedyn POV

It's my 18th birthday and I'm impatiently waiting for Valentine to come home.

She's 23 now and bringing a 'friend' home for my birthday. She met him in New York where she lives now.

I bet he's probably just a fuck buddy but whatever.

The doorbell rings and I jump from my seat running to the door.

"Val!!!" I yell opening the door.

"Hey baby brother!" She says and hugs me tight. "Hey this is my friend Jason and his little sister Ariel.

Woah. That's all I have to say. Woah.

This Ariel is damn gorgeous.

"Hey lil bro, pop that jaw up. Wouldn't want her to know you're drooling already would you?" Valentine says tapping my jaw.

I quickly close my mouth and blush.

Damn I'm in trouble.

Casey POV

"Aww momma! Young love!" Valentine sighs as we watch Paedyn and Ariel on the back porch.

I chuckle and look at my daughter, "They're just talking Val. But anyway....James huh?" I ask.

She starts laughing and nearly falls out of her chair. She wipes the tears from under her eyes before she answers my question. "Momma, James is gay." She says with another laugh.

I snort, "hmm figures. When are you gonna get married and give me grand babies?" I give her a stern look.

Her phone vibrates and she smiles before showing me the text she received.

Hey Val. Heard you were back in town for Paedyns birthday. Call me so we can catch up? ;)

It's from her highschool sweetheart Brody.

"Maybe sooner tha you think momma." She says standing up. She gives me a kiss on the cheek before going inside.

Soon after Blake steps out.

"Where's Jenny?" I ask. Jenny was born after Paedyn and is 17. She's the last kid we had.

"Friends." He replies while looking over to Paedyn and Ariel.

"Well we have a blooming romance with our son, a rekindling flame with our oldest daughter and a young one who likes to party. What are we gonna do with our children?" I ask with a sigh.

Blake grabs my hand and gives it a squeeze. "Let them live my love. Let them live."

I hear the husky laugh of my son and smile.

Let them live.
