2 months later
Casey POV

"Go back to them Casey. You've spent 2 months with me. Blake needs you, he's in trouble. So is Valentine. Go rescue them."

With that I jolt awake.

My family tells me everything that has happened.

I was shot.

I was rushed to the hospital.

I was in a coma for 2 months.

I missed my 18th birthday.

And worst of all.

Blake and Valentine have been missing for 2 months.

After Kelly shot me Blake called 9-1-1.

But before the help arrived Blake was already gone.

2 days later his parents received a ransom note.

Paul, Kelly and Carson had kidnapped them.

For 2 months the police were tracking them.

For 2 months they had found nothing.

They could be dead.

I may never see them again.

The thought of never seeing the people you love is a greater hurt than a gun shot wound in your abdomen.

I should know.

1 week later

I was finally released to go home. Their was no word on how Blake and Valentine were.

I was laying on my bed when I heard a tapping on my window.

I slowly pushed myself off of my pillow so I could look out the window.

On my balcony lay a slumped over figure.

I hurriedly opened the door and in fell the body.

Flipping the body over I brought my hands to my mouth as I screamed at the sight in front of me.

My parents quickly rushed into my bedroom and asked me what's wrong.

I couldn't remove my eyes from the scene In front of me.

My parents eyes followed my eyes and my mother gasped while my father muttered something I didn't understand.

I dropped to my knees and held my insanely shaky hands over the body on my floor.

I heard a silent whimper outside and turned my head to see an equally horrible sight still on my balcony.

Valentine rushed to my arms and held me tightly. Like her life depended on it.

"Shh baby shh." I held the shaking little girl in my arms while looking at the body of her daddy in front of me.

His face had blood all over it. The little parts of his face that didn't have blood were covered in purple bruises.

His breath was labored and I sat there in shock looking at my love in front of me.

Suddenly everything hit me like an atomic bomb. I hurriedly put Valentine on the floor next to me and rushed over to Blake.

"Baby wake up please wake up!" I said lightly shaking him.

All I received was a groan.

"Blake...please, I can't lose you again!"

And as I said that his eyes barely opened.

"Casey?" He said in a very low questioning voice.

"Yes my love it's me!"

"I thought you were dead..." He said reaching up and caressing my cheek.

Tears pricked my eyes as I looked at the sight in front of me.

His face was bloody and bruised but he was still a beautiful creature that was sent to me.

"I'm right here Blake. Now you have to stay awake for me. You need to look in my eyes and you need to listen to me and hear every word that I tell you."

Blake looked me in the eyes just like I told him to. The pain and worry in his eyes pulled the strings in my heart and I looked at him with all the love I possibly could.

"I love you with all of my heart. You're my whole world and so I need you to make it through this. Do it for me. Do it for Valentine. Without you we have no one."

Tears shed from eyes as did Blake's.

"I love you Casey. Don't worry about me, I'm going to make it for you," he looked to Valentine, "and for my daughter."

Our moment was cut painfully short as the EMTs arrived in my bedroom.

I followed them out to the ambulance and with some convincing, was able to get in with them as they drove to the hospital.

I whispered encouraging things into Blake's ears and as he was rolled into the Emergency Room, I took my last glimpse at him as the doors swing shut.

I found myself seated in the waiting room.

Tear stained cheeks.

An aching stomach.

And a cracking heart.
