"DEREK!" I scream as the wolf takes over, I can almost feel the blue of eyes glowing. Of course my time of the month and the full moon just happened to fall together. It made me all the more uncontrollable and it made it harder for Derek to control me. My teeth grew into sharp fangs as I screamed at him. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" I shouted as he stepped closer to tighten the chains around my wrists.
"Find your anchor." He hissed at me and the wolf in me lunged toward him, my nails scraping across his arm causing blood to seep from there.
"I'm gonna find it so I can shove it up your ass!" I growl at him my eyes flickering from human to wolf. He slapped me hard across the face and I changed completely human for one second before the wolf took back over.
"I've ruled out pain," he starts in his lecture voice and if it wasn't the full moon I would have rolled my eyes, "so find your anchor." He punctures each word. I strain against the metal chains, growling, trying desperately to reach him. "Picture your life, in the form of something important to you and use it. Make it your anchor."
Images of my family, flash across my mind, but my heart breaks knowing what I did to them on a full moon. I accidentally hurt my brother, so I ran out the house crying. I came home only a few hours later to find them all lying in a pool of their own blood. So I ran again, this time for good and Derek found me. His strong hard face plants itself into my mind and for some reason it's not leaving.
Find your anchor
The fact hits me hard across the face and I scream out in rage.
Find your anchor
Breathing deeply I sag against the chains leaning against the wall and gently falling to the floor.
Find your anchor
It's him. Derek is my anchor. He is the only thing that can hold me to the earth when the moon comes knocking and as much as I hate to admit it, it worked. I can feel the wolf pulling back, my nails and teeth shrinking to normal length, as my eyes go back to my human green.
"That wasn't so hard was it." He says softly as my heavy breathing starts to even out. I wipe away the sweat that was plastered to my forehead. He unchains me and I rub my wrists, knowing that they will heal soon.
"Thank you." I whisper as he kneels in front of me.
"So what was it?" He questions looking me in the eye.
"My anchor?"
"Yes idiot." He smirks and I roll my eyes.
"You." I softly say and if he was human I know he wouldn't of heard me.
"Me?" He says disbelievingly and raises his eyebrows.
"Yes idiot." I quote him smirking.
"Hmm." He slumps to the floor from his crouching position as a sudden flush of confidence rushes through me. I push forward, using my werewolf speed, pressing my lips to his. Without a second to spare he kisses me back passionately his hands on the back of my head. I kiss him harder and he slowly leans backwards until he is lying on his apartment floor with me suspended over him. As our tongues dance together his hands slide down my body till they cup my waist, bring it closer to his own. My hips rub slightly against his torso and he growls slightly before breaking away.
"Your beautiful." He whispers and I blush my hair spilling down, like a curtain blocking out the world.
"Your weird." I joke back and he smiles the rare smile that makes my heart melt.
"Take the compliment ad run." He advises and I chuckle softly.
"Okay." I wink at him before standing, pulling him with me. Sunlight spills through the window, as the sun rises and I turn towards it grinning.
"You got through the full moon." Derek sounds shocked and I smile.
"You sound surprised."I turn back around to face him.
"I'm not." He shakes his head smiling slightly at the corners of his mouth. I growl at him, my eyes glowing, and he just laughs.
