A/n sat in the doctors so I may as well post this.

It is so stereotypical isn't it, that an undeniably attractive boy would move in next door. So cliche that his window was opposite mine. But in the end I am sort of glad that Jordan lived opposite me, otherwise this wouldn't be possible.

It all started out with notes, being thrown through open windows or taped to the back of our blinds, before it descended into texting and talking which turned into, this.

Jordan's hands ran up and down my tights, gripping and squeezing as he ran his lips up and down my neck. I gasped as his teeth grazed across my ear lobe before his lips rejoined with mine. His hands stroked down my front his fingers fiddling with the buttons of blouse.

"Jordan-" I breathed, gently pushing him away. "Jordan stop." He ignored me his fingers continuing to undress me. Fear started to pound through me as I struggled to move in Jordan's tightening gasp. "Jordan!" I cried as he tore off my shirt, one of his hands tracing up my thigh.

"Don't you want this." He ran his nose along my ear as I yet again tried to push him off me but his arms were too strong for me to break free. "Don't you want me?"

"Jordan stop it." I wanted my voice to be harsh, but it only came out like a weak pathetic whimper. Suddenly Jordan's grip tightened dramatically, so tight that I knew I would have bruises shaped like his fingers.

"If you won't give me what I want then I will just have to take it."

Like that Jordan had changed, his touch hard and forced from where his hands ran all over me.

"Stop." I managed to push him off me only for a short second, managing to secure a swift punch to his jaw, but that second allowed me to run out my bedroom, scrambling for an escape. "Help me!" Despite the fact that I knew no one was home I screamed anyway, hoping that someone could hear me.

I sprinted down the stairs, Jordan calling for me as he chased me across the landing, when the front door opened.

"Y/n are you-" Liam stood there, his words falling off from his tongue as I propelled myself into his arms. "Y/n what's wro-" He broke off when Jordan appeared from a doorway, his lip bleeding slightly. I could feel my body trembling as he took a step closer. Liam pushed me behind him and I felt his body stiffen.

"Give me Y/n Dunbar." Jordan snarled nastily, his fists clenching by his side.

"Not a chance." Liam's voice was surprisingly strong causing a weird sensation of butterflies to rise up in my stomach.

"Last chance Dunbar. I am not going to ask again." He extended his hand outwards, reaching towards me. Liam's grip on my arms loosened and for a split second complete and utter fear spread through me.

Liam is going to give me up. He is going push me towards Jordan and allow him to devour me, to ruin me.

But he didn't.

Instead he pushed me backwards gently, as he stepped towards Jordan. I couldn't see what he was doing, but whatever was happening worked. Fear slaps across jordans features, his fists unclenching as he takes a step backwards.

"Go." Liam growled, using his arms to gently move me out of the doorway. Jordan complied, running, fleeing for his life as he sprinted out the door and onto the street.

Instantly I let loose a breath that I did not even realise I was holding, once again propelling myself into Liam's arms. Tears of relief fell from my eyelids and soon I found myself a sobbing mess in his arms.

Slowly Liam relaxed around me, his arms holding me to his chest.

"Shh, it is okay, he's gone." Liam's lips brushed against my ear as he stroked my hair with his hands. "I will never let him hurt you again."

Then and only then did I realise the tightness of his arms around me and the tone of truth to his words. As I looked back at our friendship I saw everything that I had never noticed about Liam before.

I saw the secret stolen glances he snuck me so often, I saw him beating up my old bully simply because he looked angrily at me, I saw Liam staying by my side through every single heartbreak and I saw Liam just Liam as he looked at me with wide eyes.

I pulled away from his tight embrace to look him in his orbs. The colour of his eyes ran so deep that any sane person could easily get lost.

"Y/n?" Liam was questioning my motives as I leant upwards onto my toes. His breath hitched in his throat as I slowly became threateningly close to his lips. "What are you doing?"

"You kept me safe Liam." I wrapped my arms around his neck as his slid around my waist. "I've never noticed but you've always kept me safe. Why?"

His answer was deemed unnecessary as when his lips touched mine and it seemed no explanation was needed.
