You stared at him with sad eyes as he bowed in front of you with that soft smile of his. Haizaki Shugo, the man who you were engaged to by arranged marriage. You didn't love him at all if it wasn't that obvious. He was well known as a man who played with dozens of girls and was rich as well. You couldn't understand why your parents would want you to marry someone like that.
You sat on your bed as you thought about your wedding which was soon, when you heard a knock. You looked at the window and gasped in shock. There stood, Nijimura Shuzo, the man who you truly loved, on a tree, two storeys high from the ground. "S-Shuzo!!!"You exclaimed in shock as he smiled at you sweetly.
Nijimura Shuzo was a goatherd. He wasn't rich like Haizaki in fact he was very poor but you loved him with all your heart. He always made you feel safe and never did anything that would make you feel uncomfortable. Well up until now....
You hurriedly opened the windows and glared at him. "What are you doing here!?"You hissed as he smirked at you. "Is it wrong to visit the woman I love?"He questioned with a teasing tone that made you blush and huffed as you looked away. "....no....,"You muttered as he smiled at you and patted your head.
Suddenly you heard hurried footsteps. You immediately shut the window as Nijimura hid behind the walls. The door slammed opened and Haizaki walked in. "(Name) was someone here?"He asked with a growl. "No...,"You muttered as you looked down.
Suddenly you felt a sharp pain on your cheek and you fell. Holding your cheek you looked up at Haizaki who growled angrily at you. "Don't lie to me! I heard you!"He growled angrily as you continuously denied it.
Outside Nijimura looked at the scene with gritted teeth. At the same time Haizaki looked out the window and made eye contact with him and glared at him. Nijimura glared back and left.
