*Mia's POV*

"Mia-" Laddie started saying, but I cut him off.

"Yes, Laddie." I sighed. Laddie smiled, pulling my hand.

"Oh, great. You're back," Edgar greeted, ever so kindly.

"Nice to see you again, too." I said, sarcastically.

"You come in here every day. But you never buy anything. Why is that?" Edgar questioned, coming closer to me.

"Because he just wants to look at the comics," I said, motioning to Laddie.

"Well, lucky him. He's gets to bring home a comic today." Edgar said, making Laddie turn towards him and smile.

"I do?" Laddie asked, excited.

"Yeah, Mia here gets to pay for it, too." Edgar said, earning a glare from me.

"N-" Alan cut me off.

"Mia, just pay for it. You can't get out of this." Alan said. I sighed, pulling out what little money I had from my pocket, and handed it to Edgar.

"Happy?" I asked, annoyed.

"Yep," Edgar said, turning and walking away. I rolled my eyes, before saying, "Cmon, Laddie. We're leaving."

---

"Star! Star! Guess what?!" Laddie called, happily running to a smiling Star.

"What?!" Star smiled.

"Mia got me a comic book!" Laddie cheered.

"Oh! Lucky you!" Star said, happily.

"Hey, that's what Edgar said..." Laddie trailed off.

"Edgar? Frog?" Star looked at me.

"Um, yeah. Laddie and I have been in there a couple times. They made me pay for one. But, we're okay, Star. I promise." I reassured her. She nodded, then started talking to Laddie again.

"Mia, go talk to David. Tell him about the comics. He'll want to know," Star whispered when she got a chance. I nodded, walking over to David and Paul.

"Hey, David? Can I talk to you?" I asked, nervously.

"You can talk to me, babe." Paul said.

"No thank you," I said, looking away from Paul.

"Paul," David said, which caused Paul to walk away.

"What is it, Mia?" David asked, turning to me.

"Um... Star said you'll want to hear this. Laddie and I have um... Gone into the Frog brothers comic book store. Edgar, he um.. Made me pay for a comic for Laddie. That's it," I said.

"Nothing bad happened." I finished.

"Good." David said, emotionless. I started to walk away, until I heard David continue.

"But, I wouldn't be too worried about them,"
