Twist and Shout (Choose Your Own Adventure)

Chapter Six

You let out a fearful yelp and charge off down the platform. You can hear the crowd of girls racing along behind you, getting closer and closer. They're screaming excitedly at something - or someone, you can't tell - up ahead. You look up and see three young men running in front of you. They're laughing like hyenas despite being chased by a huge mob of deranged women.

"What in the world?!" you shout, and summon all of your energy to catch up with them. You charge like an angry bull until you find yourself in the middle of their small group. They look surprised to see you, and slightly astonished at your speed. 

"What's going on?" you scream, trying to be heard above the shouts coming from behind you.

"We're trying not to be mauled by them!" one of them shouts back. He has shaggy, light brown hair and cheeky smile. "Being famous gets you in fixes like this!"

"Famous?" You peer closely at him. "Do I know you?"

"You should do!" he laughs. "We're pretty well-known around here!"

"John!" one of the other men shouts from up ahead. "Hurry up! We'll miss the train!"

You come to a large wall and skid to a halt, stopping a few millimeters away from it. The three men smile at you, give a jaunty wave, and hike themselves up over the wall. You try to follow them but your hands are too slippery to get a proper grip. You slide back down to the ground, unsuccessful and exhausted. You don't know how things could get any worse from here.

Then they suddenly do. (The bad luck gods certainly have it in for you!)

The rabble of screaming teenagers are screaming towards you, causing a minor earthquake with their synchronized running. You glance around, looking frantically for an escape, but you're trapped. The crowd finally catches up to you. They start scrabbling at the wall as if they're trying to break through. 

Unfortunately you're dragged under and get up close and personal with the bottoms of a thousand pairs of shoes...
