You park yourself beside John and wait for the other lads to gather their instruments together. They're organized and ready in a couple of minutes. Paul is standing off to your right, flicking his long brown hair out of his eyes; George is a few steps away from him, mucking around with the tuning pegs on his Rickenbacker; Ringo is perched demurely at his drum set; John is sitting on a little stool beside the drums.

Paul gives his famous count in and the lads begin to play. It's so amazing. The only time you've heard The Beatles' music was on your record player at home, but hearing them live? That's something entirely different altogether. You're itching to tell everyone at school that you spent the afternoon with none other than The Beatles - and one of them seems to like you.

John nods his head in time to the music and seems to be deeply absorbed in the song, but he keeps giving you sly little glances and smiles. You can feel yourself going red. Paul is watching this with a rather stiff expression on his face, and you don't understand why. John nudges up closer to you and whispers something about paying no attention to "silly old Paul".

The band practices a few more songs, creating several interruptions about how the drumbeat is too quick or George is two beats off. After performing the final bars of Twist and Shout, Paul sets his bass down and walks over to you.

"Hey, darling," he whispers, "let's get out of this place."

"What?" you say, blinking rapidly.

"We've done our rehearsal, now we can go off and have some fun!"

"Oh, okay." You're not entirely sure about this plan. Didn't Brian say he wanted the five of you to stay put? You consider telling Paul this, but now the other lads are making a racket, crowing to go out and do something fun.

"Let's check out the rest of this place!" John cries.

"Boring!" Paul says. "Let's go out back and play on the field!"

Everyone else quite likes that idea, but you're not sure. The lads turn to look at you, obviously waiting for some kind of input. You hesitate for a minute, wondering what would be a good choice.
