"All right," you think, "Why not?"

You tell Paul that you accept his offer and will accompany the group to the television studio. Paul claps his hands excitedly and begins to describe what they'll be doing on TV. The other lads groan and complain that you could probably already guess what they're going to do.

"I don't mind." you say softly.

"You will mind in about five minutes," says John. "There's no stopping Paulie once he gets going."

Paul doesn't say a word, but he glares at John, his eyebrows knitted together, daring him to say anything else. John stays silent and turns back to you.

"So, miss, was that you on the platform just before?"

"Yes. I was nearly squashed by that horrible mob."

"Ha!" John cries, grinning. "That's just a regular day at the office for us!"

"Unfortunately." says George, gnawing on his fifth raspberry jam sandwich.

He looks so sad and you want to comfort him further, but feel much too shy. Instead you settle for giving George a sympathetic glance. He acknowledges your consolation with a quick wiggle of his bushy eyebrows. You giggle, your cheeks turning pink.

"There's going to be another mob outside of the studio, Georgie, boy," Paul says bitterly. "I love the fans but sometimes they just..." He waves his hand in the air, trying to find the right words.

"Go completely potty?" John suggests.

"Exactly," Paul looks at you warily. "You're not going to go completely bonkers, are you?"

You shake your head, wondering if Paul's question was rude or not.

"The train's going to stop soon," says Ringo, making one of his rare speeches. "We should probably get ready to face the rubble at the next station and at the studio."

You don't like the sound of this. You're generally a very shy person and don't cope well with large crowds. You could always bail at the last minute, avoid the crowds, go the long way round, and meet the lads at the studio later on. It's a good twenty minutes away so you would have plenty of time.

If you want to leave the group and avoid the crowds, go to Chapter Fourteen.

If you want to stay with the group and face the screaming fans, go to Chapter Fifteen.
