Chapter 37- I'm Lucky To Have You

Khadija's pov:

I got dressed up in my black dress, did my hair into a chic chignon and applied baby pink lipstick while I applied black eye shadow and mascara and a little blush and I was ready.

"Adee, will you hurry up?" I screamed while I put on my abaya and wrapped my hijab carefully.

"All done" he answered coming out of the bathroom in a black tuxedo, with hairs set and he looked hot! What? He is my husband, I can stare at him.

"Done checking me out?" he asked

"No, I can keep staring for as long as I want because you are my...husband" I answered and walked upto him and pulled his beard

"Oww Khajii, that hurts" he said wincing in pain

"You deserved it" I said and smirked at him

"You love my beard right?" he asked

"I do, because it's a Sunnah and to be honest, I always wanted to marry someone with a beard" I confessed and he smiled at me.

"Should we leave?" I asked

"Yes" he answered and I quickly wore my heels, niqab and took my clutch.

"Let's go" I said

Taylor was already there with the car, we walked up and he opened the doors for us.

"It's okay, you don't have to do that" I said and he smiled in response.

"Taylor, you can go, I will drive" Adeel said and Taylor handed him the keys and after reading the Dua for travelling, we started off for the party.

"How far is it, 30 minutes have already passed and where is this party. This place is so isolated with mountains only" I whined

"Wait for some time darling" Adeel answered and I laid back on my seat and put on my favorite nasheed.

"We are here" Adeel said loudly

I opened my eyes and all I saw was a small hill which was flat on the top.

"This is where the party is?" I asked astonished and Adeel nodded.

"Khadija, you can take off your abaya and everything, this is a restricted area, no one else is here, don't worry" Adeel said

"But the party?" I questioned as I took off my abaya, niqab,& hijab

"It's on the hill, you go ahead, let me park the car" he said and I started climbing the steps that were made on the hill.

I climbed up finally but suddenly something covered my eyes

"Help. HELP" I screamed and then the cloth flew away and it was pitch dark.

"Adeel," I screamed

Adeel's pov:

I hope she loves it.

"Is everything ready?" I questioned the staff

"Yes sir" they answered and then I heard Khadija scream. It is my time to go now.

I quickly made my way up, praying that she would like it.

Khadija's pov:

Where is everyone, why did the lights go off, where is the whole freaking party, where is Adeel?

And suddenly the lights came back and my mouth formed an 'O' and I gasped when I saw the beautiful view.

"You like it?" Adeel whispered and I nodded, because I had no words

I turned around and hugged him. Before I knew the tears were flowing out already.

"Hey, why are you crying?" Adeel questioned worried and he put his finger under my chin and pulled it up

I shook my head and then it hit me, I ruined his tuxedo.

"I'm sorry for ruining your suit" I said looking down

"Khajiii" he said in a stern voice

"Why were you crying?" he questioned

"Because I'm so lucky to have you" I answered happily

"And I'm lucky to have you" he said, kissed on my forehead and I smiled at him.

"And you look stunning MashaAllah" Adeel said and I smiled at him and hugged him again, trying to cover my blush

"You look handsome too" I said

"I know" he answered and I rolled my eyes at him which caused him to chuckle.

"Okay, now let's go, dinner is waiting" Adeel said and I took his arm and walked up to the table, which was covered with a white cloth with rose petals spread on it and a vase with red roses and with white and red candles, the table was covered with a white canopy which was tied to two pillars and black chairs.

Adeel pulled out a chair for me like a gentleman and I sat down.

"So the whole party was a lie?" I asked and he smiled sheepishly and scratched his neck nervously

"Thank you" I said genuinely

"You don't have to and hurry up, dinner's getting cold" Adeel said and we dug in our food

After having delicious Thai food, Adeel had one more surprise so we made our way to the next destination.
