Pearl/Peridot fusion

Don't pretend you've never thought about one. The two P's have so much in common, one can only imagine.

But I'd like to turn your attention to the picture above. See how their Gems are in the same place? So what would happen?

One theory is that the gems would move to create room for eachother. Since there is nothing to prove that would work, I must rule it out.

Another theory is that the gems are actually in different spots, ad nobody's noticed. I think it's very unlikely.

The theory that  I personally believe? The Gems themselves would fuse.

This means the two gems would literally become one, and might stay that way forever. We all remember the gem shards and how they were combined?  I'm talking them same thing for our favorite neurotic gems.

Your thoughts? I personally don't think Peridot enjoys fusion, but still.
