Dream Trance

I laid in the bed sulking. Tears streamed silently down my face.

I upset Owen.

He was mad at me.

My shoulders shook with a sob.

I felt miserable.

There was a knock on my door, but I ignored it. I was on my side, my back facing it.

Whoever it was, they knocked again.

I felt the shift of air as the person entered the room silently.

Sweet vanilla breezed through the room. "Sang, I know you're awake," Luke said.

I half shrugged.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" I felt the bed behind me dip and a soothing hand rub my spine.

I sniffled a bit and wiped at under my eyes. I still didn't look at him.

"Hey," he walked around to the other side of my bed and laid facing me. He smiled slightly. "I know how to fix it."

I swallowed. "You don't know what's wrong though," I whispered.

He half shrugged this time. "Maybe I don't, but I still know how to fix it." His hand dug into his pocket and pulled out a wrapper. He winked at me. "Close your eyes." His smooth fingers slid over my eyelids, closing them for me. I giggled slightly. His hands slid down my damp cheeks and to my mouth, prodding it till I opened it. He placed something on my tongue. It melted and an explosion of flavor infiltrated my taste buds.

Chocolate?

I offered a smile and opened my eyes.

"See, there it is." he smirked and his fingers slid over my lips.

My heart stopped.

I searched his eyes and he stared right back at me.

Something was stirring deep within them.

What was it?

He seemed to be leaning closer.

Was he about to kiss me?

I've read romance books where the girl waits for it.

I was sure he could hear my heart.

He pulled away, blinking, and a smile on his face again.

The hidden depths was gone in his eyes.

"Anyways, I came to say goodbye." Luke said, bringing me back to reality. "I've got a mission with Victor, Nathan, Gabe, and Silas."

"Oh,"

His fingers slid across my lip, pushing it into a smile.

"We'll only be gone for the weekend."

"That's a long time," I whispered.

"I know Sweetie."

There was a knock at my door. North opened it and came stomping in.

He saw Luke and grunted.

"Hurry the hell up Luke, they're waiting for you."

"Fine fine, I'm going." he not so secretly handed me the rest of the candy bar. "Shh, don't let North find out."

He stood up and avoided his brother's hand, laughing as he went his marry way.

"Baby?" I turned to look at him. He took notice of my tear-stained face and cursed. "Shit, baby what's wrong."

I shrugged. He came over and sat down next to me. His hand tangled in my hair soothingly. "You can tell me anything."

"I know," I whispered. He looked sad momentarily.

"I have to leave this weekend, too."

I frowned. "Kota and I have a mission."

"So I'll be left here alone with Sean and Owen?"

His eyebrow rose. "Mr. B. lets you call him by his first name?"

I nodded.

Kota walked into my room next. "North we gotta go if we want to get there in time. He looked at me and came over. I was pulled into his intoxicated spice for a hug. "We'll see you Sunday night, okay?"

"Okay. Bye."

North hugged me, too, and they were gone.

Great, now I'm alone with Sean and Owen.

Fantastic.
