Chapter 6

DIANE's POV

"Diane, chill. You don't know he's back. Just because he's here. You'll resign for you're job you love" Charlie said then sip her cocktail.

I always hang-out here at her bar or pub "Chill n' Talk" to meet her on my free time to catch up or have some girl talk. It's been 3 years when she decided to change course on her old accountant job to start her business she really like and that's liquor my friend. Charlie is my girl best-friend for eternity. We're like Bonnie and Clyde. Best-friends since kindergarten but we got separated when she decide to go to NYU for college to take up finance. We didn't missed out our communication. She so clingy to forget me. Luckily she decided to comeback her because she missed me so much! Nah kidding. Her parents send her back here.

"But Carl, how can i face him? I don't have the courage to meet him again. Seeing him this morning hunts me" i said. Sighing and sip a glass of martini.

"Girl, it's not you fault what happened since then. It's the right thing to do" she said comforting me.

"I-I don't know. I really don't know. I just can't help it." i said and drink another glass.

"Still worrying for him? Diane, it's been what 4-5 years and you still hang up on him? Why don't you do you thang and forget him?" She scolded me

"It not like that. You know the whole story. I left him. It's not that easy." I sip again

"Yes i know but he didn't have the nerve to find you. What an ass! And appearing out of nowhere and putting a lot of guilt on you after all this years?why now? " She said angrily and continue

"If i see and meet him. God knows what i'll do to him! Did he realize if for his sake? What a numb ass" and drink her another glass of cocktail

I'm scared of Charlie sometimes when she's mad. She has this tough attitude that got us in trouble with the teachers in high-school. She have this model-like feature but swears like a pirate and a total blabber. I just keep quiet not to go to her dark side.

Okay. All drinks are on me. Just go out there. Forget what happened and have some fun! You've been grumpy all night. It's not good in my business!" She said overly enthusiastic to change the subject and pushes me to the dance on the dance floor.

"Char, your over dramatic but i like what you're coming up to. How can i say no to free drinks?" I smile not reached my eyes at her at go.

"That's my girl. Do you thang you sexy wild beast!" She shouted happily like a proud mother on her daughter's first recital.

I'm so embarrassed to care. Sometimes in wonder why I'm friends with her. She's cray! I just ignore her and walked my way to the dance floor like i'm hunting my prey. Oh greek god 3 o'clock. I shake what my mama got me. I move my hips like madonna. Thank God i wear my lucky LBD (littleblackdress) to pump my rhythm.

I felt someone in on my back. I turned around and saw the greek god was on my side and he said

"hi beautiful, mind if I join you?"

"I don't mind at all" i replied with a smirk

"I'm Jacob and you are?" Hi asked and extend his hand

"Just call my Dee" I said accept his warm hand.

"We have mysterious girl, don't we? How can i persuade to know you pretty lady?" He playfully said

"You got a silver tongue on you. Does it always works to other woman you fancy" I playfully replied

He laugh and said "does it works on you?"

"I don't know. We'll see" i said as we dance the rhythm. Skin to skin with burning passion. I never been so wildly worse before.

I just show my killer smile at him.

I don't know what's happening to me. Does the alcohol doing this? Did Charlie put spiked my drink or i just drink to much. I don't usually dance with other man and dance provocatively. I don't remember what i did after.

I woke up and realized it's not my room. I touch my head. Feels like i've been punch a million times.

"Thank god you woke up! If I didn't got there fast. Maybe greek god take you and did God knows what!" Charlie scolded me like a mother hen as she enters the room holding a tray filled up with hangover remedy she experimented and put it in the bed.

"Thanks Carl" i said shyly and drink the oddly juice from the tray. I don't know what to describe how awful it is. But i ignore it. I don't what to add what Carl on her face right now. Full amazon mode, ready to attack her prey and be on her bad side. I seen worse.

"You're mom called to said that's she's out of town to meet you're dad" she shared and continue

"Here we go again" I mentally said

"But really Dee? I said enjoy not hooked up with some greek god out of nowhere? I didn't insist on him that i take you home. Maybe i'll see you on the river floating around or knocked up! But on the second thought a greek god god children would be nice" she said

I was so shocked to know that i did that! What? I-I hooked up with someone? Does it possibly be? I tried to remember what i did last night. What I remembered was i dance with some guy and that was it. I touch my headed like i hit a brick wall.

"I'm truly sorry Carl. I just caught up in the moment" I jokingly said

"You're lucky he didn't push it though. He explained that you to drunk and he didn't know what to do. What a gentleman. He's a keeper and i think i saw him somewhere." she said as she sat beside me.

I tried to remember. He said his named was Jacob. Hmmm why is this days i'm always surprised or shocked. Did i do something stupid in my past life?
Blood runs dried when I remembered his familiar face.

God i'm was so stupid. He's the famous bachelor that was features on countless magazines because of his good looks and not only that his the only heir of Wallace Hotel. Jacob Henderson Wallace.

How could this happened?

I got distracted on unknown number called my phone. I hesitate first but curiosity kills me. I answered it but something gotten me when i heard who's voice is on the line.

"Are you sobered up to remember me, Diane?" A hoarseness voice shocked my system. He continued

"It's me Jacob"
