Chapter 6 - First day of school

     It's my first day of school and I'm actually pretty excited. Except for the butterflies in my stomach, hopefully that will go away soon. Yesterday, Rydel and I had some girl bonding time watching tv. Today will probably be a good day! Woo hoo nothing can ruin today!

     "Rydel, can I borrow your grey leather jacket?" I ask staring at this leather beauty.

     "Of course you can. I think it looks amazing on you!" Rydel chimed.

     I pair up the jacket with a Paramore t-shirt, black jeans, and combat boots. Nothing to fancy.

     "Aye, Del how do I look?" To be honest I'm actually really liking my outfit today. I just need a second opinion.

     "Eh." Was all Rydel said. She has to be joking. The only thing she has seen me in are sweatpants!

     "I'm kidding! You should have seen the look on your face. It looked like you were going to stab me. Ha!" She laughed as if it was the most hilarious thing. You wanna hear something funny? Two words, strapless bra.

      "Psh no.... I would never hurt you." I responded.

      Lies. All lies. Brain! How many freaking times do I have to tell you to shut up!? Wow. I really am crazy, I mean I just had an argument with my brain.

     After doing all that routine stuff, we go school. Obviously. Brain, I thought we discussed this! No making comments about everything. Sorry, but I'm mentally attached to you. Whatever.

     "Oh hey Ryland!" My voice cracks. Ouch. "Uh, where were you last night?"

      "Me? Oh I was with Kylie." Ryland slurred.

      "Kylie? Oh, that neighbor chick. 2 nights in a row wow. Um are you using protection?" Oh no, now I just made it awkward asking him if he uses protection. Great going Laura. Note the sarcasm.

      "Protection? What's that?" His confused face appears.

      "Look it up on google." I kinda feel bad for the poor guy.

      "Oh crap, I thought this was a myth! I gotta go! Cover for me at school!" His eyes widen as he reads his phone. Well that just happened..... Yup

(Skip to 4th period)

      "Hi I'm Jake." This guy with brown hair and grey eyes just approached me. What do I do! Say hi, before you blow this. (A/N Her brain will now be named Arrow) Finally, Arrow said something useful.

     "Hi, I'm Laura." I stutter. Not cool Laura. You gotta keep your cool not lose it.

     "Netflix and chill with me?" He asks.

     "Uh okay. I think we could be great friends how about my place?" Something is going on. I thought you liked him? I changed our mind.

     "Great, how's 7 pm tonight?" He asks.

     "Perfect." I smile.

     He seems nice. I don't like him. Why not? I don't need a reason.
