i see fire

yo homies! can you guys be cool turtles and go check out my new shawn fanfic "vocals"? i posted the first chapter like 2 seconds ago so yeah. just want a few opinions and an acknowledgment that someone is enjoying it haha.

the flames of the fireplace set the mood of the atmosphere in this cabin, the view of the mountain side visible in the frame of the huge window, the river right outside the house twinkling in the moon light.

"shawn?" i squeaked, trying to sound somewhat okay, when in reality i was breaking.

"what do you want y/n?" he slightly raised his voice, a stern tone to his attitude.

"you know i never meant to hurt you." i whispered, my voice breaking towards the end.

"i thought this love was real. i thought for so, so long that you actually cared about me. and i was so, unbelievably wrong." he spoke, his eyes avoiding me and looking into the flames of the fire before us.

the flames grew higher as i desperately tried to come up with something to say, not wanting to loose the one thing that means the whole world to me.

"just tell me something." he murmured, out of no where.

"anything."

"did you even think for one second that it was wrong? did you shiver under his touch? did you shutter as the voice moaning your name wasn't mine? did you feel even a tiny bit regretful at all?" his speech breaking towards the end, tears becoming visible in his eyes.

i never wanted to hurt him.

"it was all a mistake-"

his head snapped to my direction, an angry look filling his eyes as he raised his voice at me, "don't avoid the question. was he better than me?" he yelled, standing up now and pulling at his hair, a frustrated groan following his interrogation.

i stood up too, walking over to him trying to get him to calm down.

he shuttered at my touch, shoving my hand off his shoulder as he turned around now, towering over me.

"give me another chance shawn, i swear on my life i'll never do this again. i-i love you too much to l-loose you." by the end, i was uncontrollably sobbing, his eyes grew more to their normal state, his shoulders slumping forward as he relaxed only a tiny bit.

"if we should die tonight, what would you do?" he asked, his eyes a genially questionable tone to them, the anger almost non existent anymore.

"if it's with you, i'll be okay. together, always and forever, right?" i spoke gently, as my hands rested on his chest.

he took a deep breath, before smashing his lips onto mine.

he pushed me against the wall, as the kiss go more intense.

but he suddenly brought his lips off my own, only a few centimeters away, before the one thing i never wanted to hear him say came out of his mouth, "i used to see a fire in your eyes, a mystery that was dying and begging to be solved. now, all i see is fire in our relationship. a damaged thing, that's too far gone to fix."

and with that, he kissed my cheek one last time before disappearing out the front door, never to be seen again.
